Honestly, ive been really impressed with the app and its usabillity. The sessions its suggested based on the info i put in have been really good. I opted to train 4 days a week with Runna, its given me 1x easy run, 2x speed sessions and a long run. Plus you have the option to join the Runna Strength program, and it will schedule S&C exercises for you. I havent activated that yet, but its free. Id really recommend the app.

That’s awesome. I’m just in the middle of filming a 6 week review of my experience with Runna which is half way through their 12 week half marathon training program. But a bit of info, I think the app is great! Hope it all goes well (and you can’t go wrong with the Garmin 955, cracking watch)

Love the option to add strength training to your workouts! Plus re-arranging your schedule in a week is a great tool to have in this app! So far loving it! Hope you have a great training! 🎉

Yeah I have to say it provides a really good bolt on to the training plans Runna provides. And free too!! I like the way you can tell the app what equipment you have at home and it schedules the right exercises for you. Pretty impressive

Been using Runna for the last 10 weeks leading up to the Amsterdam 1/2 Marathon next weekend with the aim of improving my MV70-74 PB of 1:45:16 - based on my recent 47:23 for 10km at the London 10,000 I seem to be well on track and will aim at something around 1:43.

Wow, good luck and hope you get your time. How have you found the Runna app? As mentioned on the video, ive found it excellent. Recently experiencing some overuse pain so have been able to adjust the plan down to 3 days training a week to help recover. That’s facility is excellent

@@gimoruns Hi - despite having been competing over a range of distances up to full marathon for some 40 years I have, up until earlier this year, done my own thing and by trial and error been fortunate to run some reasonably fast times (including 1.16.25 for the 1/2) but after turning 70 last year I felt like my training was in a rut and have been looking around for something different for some time - I tried the Garmin Connect coach for a while but found it very inflexible whereas with Runna I can tailor the training to my needs. I especially love that everything appears on my Garmin watch so I don’t have to remember the ins and outs of a particular session.
Really sorry to hear that you are experiencing a recurrence of your longstanding overuse issue - hope this doesn’t prevent you from running in Valencia - I ran the full marathon there some years ago and had a really enjoyable weekend (except for maybe the last 3 miles of the race!)

Coming here in Oct 2024 considering the Runna. Are you still using the App and have you broken PBs with it? Tqvm for the video

I’m currently not using the app due to recovering from an injury however when I was using it I broke several PBs including setting a new half marathon PB and breaking my 5k twice

Really wished where I lived gave the kind of attention to people walking and running and had running paths like that. I have to either run at the park or in the road.

I’m guessing you live in a city? I am lucky that we have lots of good, quiet places to run. Hilly, but good!

@@gimoruns no I actually live pretty rural but accommodating runners/bikers just isn’t something they really care to do. It’s like they just assume everyone is too lazy to walk or bike anywhere.

I’m currently signed up to Runna. I like it but I’m capped at 4 runs per week. I want to run 5 or 6 times a week!

    • @gimoruns

You can run up to 7 days a week when you are using the Elite level, and selecting Elite Plus. Advanced gives you 5 days running.

Is it possible for garmin to plan a route for you and use that with the run a planned run?
