Annoying sound. Effectively high pitch, high frequency, 8 people on 1 court compared to 2 for tennis, the ball is hit much more often than tennis due to small court, can’t stand it.
If cities would stop converting tennis courts into pickleball courts (this is a fact) we might not find ourselves in this current climate of anger against the pickleball community. Tennis is a beloved sport that’s very hard to master, takes a lifetime to refine and gives you a full body workout; whereas recreational level pickleball is a social sport where people often talk out loud while playing and blast music (more like a social BBQ with a paddle in hand) and gives you about as much of a physical workout as ping pong. Build more tennis courts or build separate pickleball court facilities. Don’t exchange one for the other. Rant over.
I play and sometimes if it's a weird shot near my head, my ears ring for a minute. So it's pretty loud. It's also the sound of cheapness with the plastic. It's a cheap sport with little finesse.
There's no excuse, no coming to understanding, and not to be made light of. This is where these people live and they should not be subjected to this every day. Pickleball has to be played in indoor facilities.
@@unsolicitedditkapics9722 loud music IS banned in neighborhoods, and cities have laws regulating how much noise a vehicle can make. How you are oblivious to this fact is amazing. You’re like a child.
I'd rather listen to that than cars, your music, and jet planes. It's also way less annoying than the sounds stadiums put out and regular tennis people with their grunting and yelling but yeah let's pretend that Gladys hitting a plastic ball down the lane is the same as shooting a .45 next to you
Tell the whining complainers to turn on music in their house. These are the same people that complain about everything and anything. They need to live in Gaza for a few weeks so they can appreciate what they have an not complain again.
I hate hearing stadium sounds. I hate the sounds of civilization. Let me guess, yall dont wanna ban those lol its a damn court. Yall wanna ban people grunting during tennis then you will at least have some consistency. Its where they are meant to play. Oh sorry i forgot that your complaining must trump everyone elses.
Excellent urban noise pollution story. Thank you! Perception. Predictability. Pitch.
still lower decibel level than legally required by city operated garbage trucks etc.
@@spoonified52 that come by once or twice a week for 5minutes.
@@MyMostBeautifuCinemaif you live by a road then you hear louder all the time. The people moaning here are amazingly soft
Excellent report. Thanks!
Dont make it complicated just use the ball of platform tennis as a replacement because its more rubberize not so much noise.😅
Lifelong tennis player here. I can't stand the "ball" in Pickleball. If you have ears you don't need the equipment to prove this.
I am playing tennis more that I have more time and I have made the decision that I will NOT EVER play pickleball!
You HAVE to have that dB meter on "max" or it will miss the peak of the pressure wave!
Yes, a hell of a lot louder

Perfectly predictable problem. Dif ball n paddle design could fix these issues

Tennis players need to unite and Shout: I Will NEVER play pickleball!

Yes and they could easily lower the decibels by using a different racket and / or ball that would hardly affect the game. But they’re too selfish

I hate hearing loud cars and music. Better ban those things in neighborhoods too 😂

Can't stand dogs and roosters too. 3rd world heaven
Embarrassing game
The worst sound in the world.
Disneyland fireworks 9:30pm ever night is worst. Then Loud m13 fireworks at 1am. This going on everyday in Anaheim CA
Looks, folks, pickleball is no noisier than a shooting range. Let's all embrace pickleball and open a court near you today!

No, just the players who continue to grunt long after the ball has left the racquet. That's hindrance and ridiculous!
