I believe the title is misleading and the actual advice is at the end of the video - don't do this ON PRODUCTION 🙂. Which means of course any IaaC. Abbreviations are not wrong per se, but as you said, should be used mostly for manual usage, especially during local development.
PS. Visual part of the video is great 👍.
