- Ellen welcomed Mario Lazo and his two young daughters, Eden and Monica to “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways”, and he shared how this will be their first Christmas without his wife Jennifer, who passed away earlier this year from cancer. Ellen not only surprised the girls with a video message from their idol Taylor Swift, she also gave them a gift of a lifetime by announcing their $300,000 mortgage was paid in full, thanks to Ellen’s friends at Green Dot Bank.
