whatever we make of the ending, i found this hairstyle so cool because to me it was almost mimicking the shape of a dragon head ! daenerys becoming even more like her babies at a very pivotal moment
I was correct, it did take four extra braids. Lol. I am happy to see that we approached the building of it the same. I left out the bump since I was using just my own hair and knew my braids wouldn't be thick enough to cover it. I'm sad to see the show go. It was such a great inspiration for styling. Here's hoping we find another gem soon. Thanks for being my hairstyling companion for all of these years! 💗💗💗
don't know if you'll ever see this, but just wanted you to know i miss your videos! hot d makes me feel like got is back but one thing missing is these videos alongside. love you and hope life is treating you well
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this style since the finale, so to say that I was excited when I got this notification would be quite an understatement. I just love this look so much!
I thought her last hairstyle was a bit too much. It elongated her skull so much that she looked like an alien. Poor Emilia Clarke, she must've gotten neck pains after that wig
Also, no shade to Shannon but the individual braids in the screen version look twice as thick as these. It must have been kilograms and kilograms of hair
When I saw this look on TV, I was soooo hoping you'd make a tutorial video, and I am stunned (but totally not surprised) by how well you nailed it, Silvous! Girl, you slay the hair game like no one else!
I was so happy when I saw this video! This hairstyle fascinated me from the first moment, but I wasn´t even able to understand what´s going on. Now I do, you are very talented.
I love your videos! I've learned so much about different hairstyles, and had so much fun trying them out with my own hair! I don't know that I'd ever try this one myself - just watching you do it nearly made me go cross-eyed! lol - but it was so very fun and interesting to watch you do it! Thank you so much for sharing! :)
Haha, I have been checking for this rapidly for about two days now. It was really funny, the other day I was thinking about this exact hairstyle because I had seen a headline with a picture of Daenerys wearing it. A little while after I saw it I was hanging out thinking that I would probably soon see a tutorial from you about it… at least I was hoping I would. Then, literally right as I was thinking about it, I opened up Facebook and saw your post about it lol. A happy day for me! Anyway I’ve been checking RUclips consistently for this. So, thank you, Shannon! Beautifully done! This is perfect. You made my week lol. 😄
Shannon , I started with you since your first Game of Thrones braid video. I love your style and your videos because they are easy to follow and the finished product looks awesome! Thank you so much for your taking the time out of your busy schedule with school and whatever to share your expertise with us. Love ya girl! Lisa G.
I won't ever cut my hair until I get married so I can do a Daenerys hairstyle inspired by your tutorials 🤣 you are so good at this, thank you for helping me up my hair game! ♡
@Matthew Mattocks Mine was also past my shoulder, until one day a little over a year ago I cut it short on a whim - but the hairdresser gave me a really weird haircut (she was scared bc she's had customers freak out on her after a drastic haircut), which made me feel very bad about myself... so I had it all chopped off (only a few inches left). After 16 months I'm back at shoulder length finally! Tip for growing it out: I was recommended zinc tablets for my acne, and OH MY my hair grows wayyy faster now! :)
I was wondering how long it would take you recreate that look when I was watching that scene! 😄 good job! You make it look easier than I thought it would be! 👏
@@silvousplaits Haha, I bet! I can't even dutch braid yet so I've no chance! #nopatience. I'm just always weirdly fascinated to see how it's done anyway. Now when I watch TV I just get distracted admiring all the wild braids and hair bumps instead of paying attention to the story haha! I blame you, in a good way. :)
I'm so glad you did this, I remember looking at Emilia Clarke's wig and trying to figure out how that was even possible. If I ever decide to cosplay her, I'll definitely use this tutorial for the wig! Don't think I'll ever try it on myself because my hair is kinda curly and matching not only hair color but also texture for extensions is a p a i n
All of the tutorials are so cool and simple to understand! But recently I'd love to see a few hairstyles of Amicia from "The Plague Tale: Innocence"... That would be great:)
Thank you! I also want to thank you for these videos, I've used them to do my hair for a wedding. Can you do some of Sansa's from the funeral and the finale?
Could you do Sansa's hairstyle in the pit scene in the finale?? I absolutely loved it, I loved her front braids and how loose her hair was. I would LOVE it if you could do a tutorial for that one
You are Amazing!!! 😍😍 I was waiting for this tutorial so much!! I love your work and you are evolving doing each time a more complicate hairstyle!! I don't remember if you have already said in one of your previous videos... Is it only a passion for you or you are a professional hairstyler?
The point right at 6:30 into the video. I actually think that right there is a gorgeous draped braiding, and could be left as is or tied off at the bottom, too. I know this vid was aimed at reproducing Danni's hairstyle, but I just had to comment that I think it's really really pretty at this earlier point in the video, too!
You executed this style so impeccably, and it looks absolutely marvelous on you!💙 If I may be so bold, could you please do a tutorial on Amicia's hairstyles from A Plague Tale: Innocence? If not that is completely fine, your arms must be extremely tired just from doing this style alone!😂 Honestly, God bless Queen!🙌✨🏰👑
I can barely do the most basic versions of Danys hairstyles so to do this is incredibly amazing. The only thing I noticed that altered in the braid style was that there are no ties keeping the last 2 braids together, they actually cross and are connected from underneath and one of them is used to wrap around the entire bundle of previous braids as if a small braid is being used to tie them all together. I cant wait to get to this level to do my hair. Thank you for the step by step tutorials!
wigs and hair extensions have always been used in hairstyling for wealthy/powerful/aristocratic people. in ancient egypt, medieval time, and after... so i don't mind extenstions on Daenerys' head. they could even have shown the process during an episode, using horse hair or something, at least during her time with the Dothraki (though i guess horse hair is not appropriate for hairstyling purposes)
It's like if Sansa would wear Daenerys hairstyles... And i absolutely love it! 😍 amazing job girl!!!!!
Yeah!
"they're not even trying to make it look like a real head of hair can do this anymore"
Oh look, someone left a metaphor on the ground.
this is so screen accurate omg you're so talented
Daenerys' braid and Sansa's hair ♡ How gorgeous!
Yes, I just thought about it :))
whatever we make of the ending, i found this hairstyle so cool because to me it was almost mimicking the shape of a dragon head ! daenerys becoming even more like her babies at a very pivotal moment

You as well! I was so impressed with your extension-free take. Always wishing I had your hair!
Looks great! I imagine this was a very heavy and uncomfortable style to wear for long, but you did a wonderful job executing it, as always.
When I first saw the hairstyle in GoT, i immediately wondered if you'd be mad enough to make a tutorial... well, you never fail to amaze me!
I'm so impressed, this was such a complex look and I'm glad we had a tutorial for it ! You're just the best😍
Oh my god, you did it! I was eagerly waiting for this, her hairstyle in the last episode was INSANE.
don't know if you'll ever see this, but just wanted you to know i miss your videos! hot d makes me feel like got is back but one thing missing is these videos alongside. love you and hope life is treating you well
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this style since the finale, so to say that I was excited when I got this notification would be quite an understatement. I just love this look so much!
HBO has greenlit a prequel about the Targaryens. I can't wait to see what hairstyles they'll come up with.
Only daenerys does the braids cause of dothraki tradition so we can really just expect the rope braids of nobility 🤕
Your tutorials >>>>> anything since mid-S5
AAH BEEN WAITING FOR THIS😍😍 thank you for this upload!!
Blu Rain I liked that about it. It matched the transformation of her character.
That’s the beauty of a fiction fantasy show
It's intentional, braids signify victory in dothraki culture
@@maria_____. i know that
This is fabulous. I have learned so much by watching your videos and have been able to do most of these on my own hair.
Shes the only person who could evèr do this intricate style.
I'm so glad you published this!! You did a great job at recreating this incredible style. The best dany braid of the whole series. 💜💜💜
When I saw this look on TV, I was soooo hoping you'd make a tutorial video, and I am stunned (but totally not surprised) by how well you nailed it, Silvous! Girl, you slay the hair game like no one else!

Happy to help! :)
Thank You so much for this, it is absolutely beautiful.
I'll never do this, but I love watching you! Great work!
Incredible! You’re ability to work so well with hair and hands is an inspiration!
I love this look! I cant really afford synthetic hair at the moment, so I'll try to do as much as possible with my natural hair.
These hair bunches are $2.99 a pack, fwiw
You make the best tutorials as always!! 💕💕
Thanks!
This is so impressive. Great job!!!
i was waiting for this one, it looks soooo beautiful!

you did my queen justice, thank you❤️🔥
I've been putting this off, but this video really shows it is the end of an era. Lovely tutorial as usual, though.
I won't ever cut my hair until I get married so I can do a Daenerys hairstyle inspired by your tutorials 🤣 you are so good at this, thank you for helping me up my hair game! ♡
That'd be awesome for a wedding!
@Matthew Mattocks yes that for sure. :) thanks for the heads up!

Your videos are always so clever and relaxing to watch!
Love the music under this
I was wondering how long it would take you recreate that look when I was watching that scene! 😄 good job! You make it look easier than I thought it would be! 👏
It was easier than I thought it would be, but it's still hard I just had a lot of pessimism going in haha

I have short hair and never braid it, but love watching your braiding tutorials 😀

I'm professional in the sense that I make a supplementary income off this, but it's not my day job no. I'm a PhD student in neuroscience.
Amazing! And you got zero dislikes, so that means this was awesome. Thank you 🤗
You’re going to jinx it haha
Wow, this is beautiful. Have you ever thought about trying Gilly’s hairstyles?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Awesome job!!
Wow I was wondering how to do this! Thanks so much for doing this tutorial
Take a sip of water every time you hear the word „braid“ 😊 Hey it’s important to drink enough water!
Dany's braids on Sansa's hair.
This looks awesome! Do you think you can do Alicent Hightower's hair when she showed up to Rhaenyra's wedding?
