  • Help Bristols Homeless are creating dwellings out of old shipping containers which create homes for the homeless giving them that first step they need in order to turn their lives around permanently.
This video was recorded during the first fix stage of Electrics. The container had already been stripped of its old paint, treated and painted. The spray foam had been added and timber stud work completed.

Nice video Steve, love the time lapse, music and project looks interesting. Good to see the Sparky's tidy up after doing the job.

Thank you Plymouth Sparky. I thoroughly enjoyed the start of the project and keen to get back as soon as I can to complete the Electrical Installation :)
Always tidy up after myself, I couldn't sleep at night if I didn't :D

Nice neat job mate, quick question from a trainee.. how have you got your cables hanging in between the joists so neatly it’s hard to make out from the video but have you pinned an off cut between them and taped onto that

Richard H thank you for taking the time to comment. That is exactly what I have done. This is bit of a one off situation but I did this to ensure that my cables were not moved or lost in or under all of the insulation that was due to go in. I took an off cut of cable and screwed through the centre of it to secure it right between the joists which enabled me to then tape my lighting circuit to it.
I wish you all the best with your training. Please be sure to ask if you have any other questions no matter how small or how silly they may be. The only silly question is the one that remains unasked.
      Kind regards
      Steve :)
