Killer!! Hopefully one day could you do some West Bruce and Laing and the live I’m so Glad from Goodbye?? That was the first cream song I ever heard when I was 6 years old and it absolutely blew me away
Fantastic. I have read on another of your posts how you get this sound which is so much like Jack Bruce's live sound; notwithstanding effects etc I think you can only get this tone with a Gibson bass. You say this is from a recent LP? I must look out for it. I know from the first few seconds of the track that I have not heard this cut before. Superb. Your transcriptions and playing are so skilful and take me back 50 years to when this music was being made and I was falteringly trying to play bass in our school 4 piece group, and achieving reasonable competency but never approaching anything like what you do.
It sounds great Jason what overdrive do you use? I ask this, because Iám trying to get the same bass sound as Mel Schacher from Grand Funk Railroad in 1970's. You sound great man.
Your playing is excellent. Looks like he really let go on that live scene. However, for me it was just too busy and distracting from the feel of the song itself. Different strokes and all. Interesting though. Thx for the vid!
I have the original vinyl Goodbye LP but the new album you are referring to obviously has some different tracks and I cannot at the moment identify the record on any internet site
oh man, those licks made me nuts! I'm going to steal them
Great job! I remember when I was twelve years old and saw Cream live. Probably the best concert I ever saw.
Jack's melodic Power -and VOICE / Drove Cream off the Stage into Heavy whippin.
