Great stuff Craven. I've literally just bought a UV71P (probably won't have it for best part of a week). Hence, why I'm here watching this. I used to own a UV777BK which I regret selling back in the early noughties. Kinda hoping the UV71P will fill that void. Time will tell ;-)

While I did get the UV70P model new a few years ago, lately whenever I see the original UV7BK green dots online or on youtube it gives me the feeling that I didn't get a real Universe guitar even if it is built similarly with the same pickups and wood as the original models so lately I am attempting to save up the money for an original model and considering selling the UV70P model for half what I bought it for. If I sell it for an original model though, I feel like I'm only willing to sell it if I know the buyer is going to play it. Its not designed to just sit in a gig bag in someone's closet, a Universe is a guitar built to be played extensively by its owner its one of the most comfortable and versatile guitars ever made for a reason.

Definitely a very well put together video! I've always wanted a Universe and a Jem, someday! I've got a pink JemJr, isn't bad, but I'd rather have a blue floral Jem with the maple fretboard.

Cool documentary! Check my patented fretboard invention. I’m getting Steve 1 to try later this yr. I know his manager. My uncle played guitar in Cptn Beefheart that collab with Zappa. Steve was in zappa

Yeah and the guitars are only made for people that have money to burn. There’s NO way I could ever afford a Vai model due to it being so expensive.
