My little boy was just diagnosed on Monday of this week. He is 20 months old. Newborn screenings were signed into law in 2019 in SC but have yet to be implemented for whatever reason. My boy was born in 2021 so this would have prevented all of this before symptoms started appearing. We plan on getting to the bottom of why it hasnt been added. Jeremy is an inspiration to my family and I. God bless you 🙏 ❤️
He is the oldest person I have ever heard of still living with this condition. I new a couple of siblings when I was in high school that had Krabbe and I saw them when I volunteered at a special school during the Summer. I am now 42. At that time I dont think anything like this was even available and sadly both siblings passed away before they reached the teenage years. That's awesome that this young man is thriving due to a stem cell transplant. I'm not sure if this a cure or treatment but that is huge!

How amazing to see a 21 year old with krabbe, he seems like an amazing and happy guy. Still most with this condition die as infants.
