I love this. I am a 60+ dude and this lady is the best I have seen and been to for help. I have been to several therpists And she is fun to listen to and follow along.. Thank you.
@@burnradio9681if "trouble" means a flared rib on your left side, you should bend to the left and front (compressing the left ribcage) and try to open your right side via breathing.
As a lover of research and constructing a workable idea of what's happening, I love your approach! Yasss it is all of that! This exercise has an *instant* effect on me. There's something about those "half in half out, stuck" problems that really respond to these asymmetrical conditions (suppressing the 'front' rib while encouraging the other rib to expand back) .. totally restored some mobility for me!
Thanks. I love this technique. I will try with my clients in a supine lying position before they perform lower trunk rotation with feet on floor or legs on a stability ball. I cue them not to bring knees up using their hip flexors while bringing their knees back to centre but rather pull ribs down on the exhale while moving legs to centre.
This video is so helpful! I´m so happy I found your channel! :))) So if I have left rib flare, I should do this exercise only in the left side , right? Thanks a lot!
How soon after a c section can we do this and rib closure drills ( ha breathing), if everything is going smooth and healing well? I know we should ask from a doctor first but a general guideline would help.
Yes, ask a doctor first/ get cleared for exercise is always a good general rule. That said, if I'm seeing someone, we will generally start gentle rehab exercises sooner than the 6-8 week exercise clearance checkup. But, I can't recommend a general time over the internet which I'm sure you completely understand since every situation is different.
So hard to say without seeing you move - I would find someone who has taken the PCES course to work with you in person. www.coreexercisesolutions.com/pces-directory/

I see a difference already after trying this on 1 side. Insane!! I wil be doing this everyday from now on
Hurray!
Nice! I have trouble on left side. Should I "tea-pot over" to the right side then, in order to open up the left? Or is it the other way around?

If you have left rib flare, you will want to do these exercises on the right. :)
@@CoreExerciseSolutions You mean Breathing on the right but bending over on the left, right?

If it is my left rib that is flared should i lean to my left or right?
Lean to the left.
Is hearing a popping sign in my ribs when I do so a good or bad sign? Genuine question! I’m hoping it means they’re being popped back into place
I would check with a provider near you - check out this link to find someone near you.

I have a rib flare on one side. Do u think it can be caused by pelvic rotation?
That can be a factor of the puzzle for sure.

Belly breathers take not. It’s not your belly that is primarily expanding - it’s your Ribs!
