If anyone is wondering about the first step (up to 01:30 mark) ... Skip this step if you do not have a physical (or virtual) floppy drive in the computer. Edit: if anyone is browsing this video and wondering how to load files on to their old style CNC machine or embroidery machine, or musical keyboard with a floppy drive from the factory but you have no idea where to buy a floppy disk... You need to purchase an FDD to USB emulator hardware and swap the factory floppy drive out with the upgrade
Thanks Tom, I'm trying to replace the recovery partition on my netbook and I needed to create a prehistoric .GHO backup, and for that I needed to use Ghost 2003, but that only allowed me to create bootable FDDs. Now I've got this virtual FDD I can use it to create a bootable USB. Well done mate, appreciate it.
This works on Vista so I think it should work on 7. You just need to be sure you run things as an admin (UAC) or else it definitely won't work. I have no idea whether there is a problem with the OS being 64bit since I only have 32 bit.
i have win7, and using VFD 2.1 just like you, i browse to the vdf.dll file and press install and I get VFD is not installed, i dont see any other driver file to use...what could be issue?
i love how the start says "Dont dare touch this" lol
