It was SO fun!!! Barbados is still my fave island to explore but this and Turks & Caicos are a close runner up! 👍🏼 Fun you got to experience Maho Beach.✈️ Poor Greg!!! This beach is so cool! I first heard of it from my sister, many years ago, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since! That traffic jam sounds brutal, but as long as you made it back to the ship, it’s pretty cool that you got to see more of the island (minus the motion sickness) 😅

Maho Beach looks like so much fun . I bet the planes landing would be pretty intense at first but so cool too . That water at the beach looks gorgeous . I've been to St. Maarten, but not to this beach. It was one of our stops when I worked for Celebrity Cruises. It's also the airport I flew home fron. I don't recall seeing any dinosaurs, but this was a while back, so a lot can change in that time. 😂 You definitely made the most of your day there. The ride to and from must've been a bit of a stresser; but thankfully, you planned well and were able to make it back to the ship on time. The beach you visited was lovely! The sand and water were so picturesque. Nice that they also had bars ans restaurants on-site as well. $30 for 2 chairs is fair, but probably not worth shelling out for if you are going to be there for a few hours. I appreciate all the helpful tips. Anyone considering a cruise will benefit heavily from this channel. I worked for a cruise line and STILL learn a lot from this channel. 🍻🍻

My sister and I visited St Maarten years ago and our table-mate on the ship was a lovely Japanese man who was on the cruise just to visit Maho Beach and that day there was one big jet he wanted to see. That night, we excitedly asked him if he saw it. He was so upset, he'd gone for a cheeseburger and missed it! We had another excursion so I'm glad to see Maho Beach on your trip! Those planes are SO close, Sorry you had such trouble getting to and from the beach. It looks like such a fun area along with the planes. Thank you for taking us along with you!

I'm so glad you did this video. We've been here several times but never made it to Maho Beach. You got so many cool shots of the airplanes going overhead. I feel like it would be intimidating too. I tend to be one of the people who gets wiped out by waves, so I prefer a calmer beach. I would have been so nervous with the traffic jam. That is always one of my fears, so we always get back to the ship super early. Awesome video, like 99, thanks for sharing!

St Maarten is wonderful!! When there we just took the water taxi over to the local beach and spent most of the day just relaxing in the nice and warm waters. Would be cool to see those flights coming in...awesome!!

My goodness, the turquoise color of the water is absolutely gorgeous especially as it contrasts with the tan of the sand. The low proximity of the planes is certainly something one would consider in participating in this as side excursion. I appreciate the thoroughness of your presentations -- there appears to be quite a lot to consider when taking a cruise; and one must be vigilant and responsible while on one. Being someone that worked for Delta for years, I have always wanted to visit St Maarten! I saw that you captured a Delta plane flying over! That would be so cool. I guess the good thing about the bad traffic that day was you did get to see the entire island by having to drive around it. Sorry that the curvy roads bother you. Maho Beach is on our bucket list. Beautiful area. We’ve been to St Thomas but unfortunately have not been to St Maarten yet. I’m not sure why, but when I see the beautiful ocean, mountains and greenery all in one take, I think of the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio. The beach looks beautiful and love all the jets flying over! Missing the ship is our biggest anxiety and we would probably book directly through the cruise line to avoid issues. While you may have got a little motion sick from the ride back, the bonus was you got to see more of the island. Your sunburns looked painful!

Good to know! I had no idea "ship time" was a thing. Jurassic Park-y mountains are a fave of ours for sure and love them even more paired with ocean views. Ngl, we had to pause the video immediately after “that’s nice Gregory” because we had a laughing fit 😂 I’ve actually seen footage of St. Maarten’s via “you won’t believe this place” type reels and TikTok's, but I never knew where the beach actually _was_ until today! I would absolutely _love_ to sit there watching the planes fly right over my head that way. A beach day for me is typically very boring and unfulfilling (don’t come for me!) but this type of unique setting would keep me entertained all day long. Sunscreen, Greg, sunscreen! It's great that it's free to visit if you like, but too bad there was a traffic jam on your way - it sucks losing time like that but looks like a great place to visit. Good thing you went back early to get back on time. It would definitely be worth it.

Being someone that worked for Delta for years, I have always wanted to visit St Maarten! I saw that you captured a Delta plane flying over! That would be so cool. I guess the good thing about the bad traffic that day was you did get to see the entire island by having to drive around it. Sorry that the curvy roads bother you. Wow what an experience seeing those planes flying overhead like that, such a good tip about getting your island transport through the cruise ship so if something like heavy traffic makes you miss the boat the ship will have you covered, glad you got back despite the heavy traffic x

Maho Beach is on our bucket list. Beautiful area. We’ve been to St Thomas but unfortunately have not been to St Maarten yet. I’m not sure why, but when I see the beautiful ocean, mountains and greenery all in one take, I think of the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio. The beach looks beautiful and love all the jets flying over! Missing the ship is our biggest anxiety and we would probably book directly through the cruise line to avoid issues. While you may have got a little motion sick from the ride back, the bonus was you got to see more of the island. Your sunburns looked painful!

Good to know! I had no idea "ship time" was a thing. Jurassic Park-y mountains are a fave of ours for sure and love them even more paired with ocean views. Ngl, we had to pause the video immediately after “that’s nice Gregory” because we had a laughing fit 😂 I’ve actually seen footage of St. Maarten’s via “you won’t believe this place” type reels and TikTok's, but I never knew where the beach actually _was_ until today! I would absolutely _love_ to sit there watching the planes fly right over my head that way. A beach day for me is typically very boring and unfulfilling (don’t come for me!) but this type of unique setting would keep me entertained all day long. Sunscreen, Greg, sunscreen! It's great that it's free to visit if you like, but too bad there was a traffic jam on your way - it sucks losing time like that but looks like a great place to visit.
