Hey Booktube, time to review my reading year so far and readjust for the second half... AKA my Mid-Year Book Freak-out Tag of 2024! I'd like to ask a small favor: could you let the video play all the way through? I'm trying to reach my first benchmark goal on RUclips and I am SOOOOOO close! I just need a few public hours of viewing time. It will help so much! Thanks you! What are YOUR favorite books, so far, in 2024? 📚📚📚📚📚

Hi Celeste, you know I love all your videos, but I really enjoy the nature field trips too. I think my most beautiful book this year is that gorgeous book of the poems of Robert Frost, with all the beautiful drawings of Vermont and the farms and trees and covered bridges and so on. It is wonderful all the way through and has been on my coffee table ever since I got it. I have been rereading Mary Stewart and enjoying her so much, the latest being Airs Above the Ground about the Lippizan stallions.😊😊😊

Hi Cassandra! Yes, I really enjoy bringing everyone along on my field trips and journeys around New York State! So glad you’re enjoying the Frost collection. 😊 Love your summer reading choice!

I loved The Other Bennet Sister! Yay Mary 🥰 One of my favourite books of the year so far was The Buccaneers by Edith Wharton.

Ooh, glad to hear it! I am determined to read all of Wharton and have more plans to read her work this year! And yes, three cheers for Mary!

I'm reading Miss Austen by Gil Hornby. It has been on my TBR pile since 2020 but I recently saw that a movie of the book is being made right now. It is a lovely book.

Hey Celeste, I will let it play 3 times on every device in the house ha ha! Anything for you! It was so nice coming home from a day out to an ice coffee and a relax with your video before getting some work in! Thank you! Some amazing choices....I will be so excited to hear your thoughts on The Other Bennet Sister - my Mom and I listened to it on our trip to England a couple of years ago and I loved it! I can't wait to get to The Morning Gift. I've had a terrible month of (adult/me) reading this month. It has just been so busy. I cannot wait for your Jane Austen July video! Oh! I also agree with you on Mary and Mr. Collins. Chat soon!🥰

Awe, you are the best! Happy to do the same for you, Heather. 💜 Ooh, I'll have to chat with you about England sometime. I'm saving for a trip there sometime in the next two years. Are you doing Jane Austen July? And are we still on for a Fallish buddy read of All-of-a-Kind?

@@areadersalmanacwithceleste1366 Yes definitely for All-of-a-Kind and Jane Austen July both! I'm working on the Jane Austen right now but won't have it out until next Saturday.

Great video! The Other Bennet Sister is a wonderful read! The Morning Gift sounds intriguing. I love when music plays a significant role in a story. The Way Past Winter sounds lovely! I really want to read The Royal Experiment!! I've always been so interested in Queen Victoria and her family, but have only recently started researching her many aunts and uncles (George IV... what a guy) and of course George III. It's such an interesting history... The book sounds so fascinating.

The best book I've read so far this year is Lolly Willowes by Sylvia Townsend Warner which was a recommendation from one your videos back in the fall of 2023. So thank you!! 😊

I’m so glad you enjoyed Lolly Willowes ! And the fact that you consider it one of the best reads for this year is very gratifying to me. Thanks for letting me know! 🙏🏻❤️
