Awesome video. Well worth the wait. I was so looking forward to it. Thanks for posting it. Very informative. Con #3 was what got my attention the most. Something I had never considered. Also I would like to add an extra con which is a double whammy when you combine a rapid release with a pre order. Which is what I did with a new series once. As soon as book one came out and it was DOA I immediatly wanted to cancel the scheduled rapid release for book #2 and cannabalize it for and rework it into another existing series but I was locked into the pre-order. One minute after it finally released I pushed the unpublished button. Thanks again for the video. Keep them coming and good luck with Lance Gedrin Book #3.

Thanks! Yeah rapid release isn’t a sure bet by any means. If the first books fail, it’s back to the drawing board.

Just discovered and subscribed to your channel. A lot of really useful information I can use. In terms of rapid release, I wouldn’t quite say I’m doing that with my current series. I released the first one in March, the second book’s coming next month and the third one around September. We’ll see how it develops as I try to build my audience. And by the way, we write in the same genre, so I may well check out your books soon.

Hi PF thanks for watching! I’ll check out your books too! Yeah rapid release isn’t quite for me. I had written my first 2 books in the series already and just released them on the same day, but now I’m going back to a normal pace for me (like 5-6 months per release). I have book 3 coming out July 8 and then I anticipate book 4 probably by the end of the year. Once my backlist grows my audience should grow, but I’m in no rush to get there.
