'Pick' and 'pick up' is a tricky pair because a lot of my students say that they 'pick up cherries,' but we should say 'pick cherries.' For example, "In the summer, I love to go to local farms to pick strawberries.' 😀
When you are talking about the words "Less VS fewer" in the final of the phrase about people at grocery store, did you say "yesterday" (how it is in the legend)? or did you say "today" (that was what i listened)?

You are right. I think it's easy to be nervous as a non-native speaker, but most English speakers are very understanding of grammatical errors when it comes to non-native speakers. Truthfully, a lot of English speakers make mistakes, as I'm sure a lot of non-native speakers of your language do as well.

Pick up can also mean to purchase/acquire/procure. So if you showed your friend shoes to ask their opinion on a future purchase, pick up could be used. It would be incorrect if you were just selecting a pair from your wardrobe.
I think you actually don’t use an adverb if you have verbs like taste, feel, hear, and smell because you are not describing the verb, you describe the food that tastes good for example
thought a little branch of the rule about having a subject in every sentence except for those which are in imperative case should instantaneously combust because it doesn't cause any confusion when you ommit the subject I in past tense and the verb to be in most cases with pronouns as subjects. Although, it does't feel natural to ommit the subject in present tense(e.g. "am delighted that I would not non-occasionally make most of the mistakes I've heard by now at the 17th minute.").
