    After playing AC, ACC, RF2, AMS2, and IRacing...as much as I love all of those titles...the R3E's sound is so immersive, it makes me want to take the full leap into the premium pack. Having tried it in VR on the Rift S, Fanatec CSL Elite and some good quality In-Ear Monitors...I felt like I was literally in the car cabin, it was incredible!
    Edit: I bought it...and I do not regret it

      Good to know. I really like RR a lot. I think RF2 is still my favourite for actual driving experience. The road feel is very good there. But RR is very good there too and much better than AC. The AI racing is very good, sounds are terrific, car models are great and the overall experience is great. AC is very attractive at the beginning with the graphics and all the available mods but the driving experience is not so good. I may just get the RR premium package and get into it. I think it’s an under rated sim.

    Probably the best sounding sim out there down to the DTM DRS noise

    I've been touting the virtues of this sim for years. Despite the fact that it can't be modded, it still has, what I think, is the best stock content of any sim on the market. Love the physics and FFB and the sounds. It even works well in VR. It ticks all the boxes for me.

    As I have fairly recently gotten back into Sims, I tried ACC, AMS2, rFactor and Raceroom which was my latest. for a fairly older game I was surprised at how good it was. The cars feel great, the force feedback is top notch and the content is excellent! I enjoy them all except for rFactor which maybe I just need time with as I find it a bit complicated to navigate properly. ACC though great looking feels a bit to much like your on rails and it is heavy on the GPU (and I have a RTX 2080 and it is always working overtime on ACC), still very nice. AMS2 is just great fun, great graphics, not heavy on the GPU and I like the feel at the limit as the cars do move around a bit...Overall currently Raceroom and AMS2 are the ones I am enjoying the most...I am a bit of a noob though!

      I think the game will get graphical overhaul soon, i belive i saw it on forums somewhere, that they will be updating the game to use dx11, which basically means better graphics and i think better vr support.

      That’s great to hear, the visuals are the only slightly disappointing aspect to the sim for me. It’s particularly noticeable when switching from race room to acc

    I have R3E, AC, ACC and RF2. R3E is the one that I keep coming back to and enjoy the most. I wish it would add more GT4 and GTE cars. It has a nice selection of developer produced NA tracks and a good selection of cars including some American based machinery.

    • @OnTheGrid

    Took me a while to get the FFB where I wanted it. The benefit of Rf2 is that it just 'works' with no messing about with FFB variables. Raceroom vertical weight transfer really feels nice though, you can really feel the rises at certain tracks. It's not drift monster like AC though, most cars have a small window in which you can gather the rear up. In AC you can really let cars hang out perhaps beyond what I imagine reality to be.

    i started sim racing in February this year, raceroom is the most accessible title to get into as a newb. i stuck with the aquilla on portimao and rr raceway until i knew i was going to get more into the hobby. now i have a fair amount of content in R3E, i have assetto corsa with some dlc and a pile of mods, f1 2020/2019.... R3E is the best over all. F1 2020 has the best dynamic weather - except the Ai doesnt seem to be affected by rain, but it is only f1 and f2 cars and tracks. assetto corsa mods can be fun, or a terrible experience. The Ai in AC is difficult to set properly, and not consistent between cars and tracks and hit or miss for mods. R3E has Adaptive AI, or the difficulty scale to choose from. R3E tracks are beautiful, i dont know if they're scanned tracks or not, but i know the Nordschleife in AC is a scan, and i cant tell the difference.
    The only thing i can think of about R3E that i dont like, Indianapolis and Daytona are both available- but not the ovals. but i'm not gonna lose any sleep over it.
    edit: R3E does have Daytona oval, but not Indianapolis oval.

    I have all the "realistic" ones, RF2, AC, ACC, R3E, AMS, but R3E is the one I drive most of the time. It's the FFB with my DD1 that - compared to the others - is the only one that feels as if you are driving on more or less soft rubber tires, this soft and bumpy feeling... The others have a more "dry", analytic FFB, sometimes as if your front axis is directly connected to the asphalt. R3E FFB feels more analog. Difficult to describe.

    • @OnTheGrid
      @OnTheGrid  4 года назад +1

      I agree there is something more connected about R3E, even down to the sounds.

    All my children...
    # 1 The most mature Rfactor 2 (Perfect physics and best GT3 racing with excellent content).
    2. The Middle child Raceroom (Perfect all around for good handling and good content with spot on UI).
    #3 Assetto Corsa 1 (Great dynamic road car racing and decent handling as well)
    ... All are great in their own way and I can honestly say I have "no favorite child" in this sim household... 😁👍

    I see this is the 2020 real sim quality rank.: 1. rFactor2/iRacing/ACC (Yes, this 3 games is the NO1., not have winner) . 2 Assetto Corsa. 3. Raceroom 4. Automobilista 1 +1 Easter Egg: (the legendary) Live for Speed. The other games is not so much simulator. These are games is very good base to starting sim racing and pleasure to drive! 😊

    each week there is video, ACC is the best, iRacing is the best, Raceroom is the best, rFactor 2 is the best.....so much annoying....About raceroom, a game which has dx9, no night, no rain, it's far from the best, my thoughts ?? Assetto Competizione is the best for GT3/4 and F1 2020 for F1, and of course DR2.0 for rally !

    • @OnTheGrid
      @OnTheGrid  4 года назад +4

      Remember that YT is all about opinions and everyone has them. I agree with you that for GT3, ACC is the best hands down and when you look a single focus disciplines it is hard to argue games like DR and F1. I personally enjoy Raceroom for an all around sim that offers many disciplines and car categories.
