Tthe Sherpas and other ethnic local communities also use the same tibetan term Jhomolangma for everest here in Nepal. But in Nepali language it is called as Sagarmatha. Sagar means ocean and matha means Head refering to head of the ocean . But these days both Sagarmatha and Jhomolangma are rarely used because of the popularity of english name everest. And its amazing how different the mountain ranges look from both Nepal and Tibet side. Nepal side is all mountainous region but Tibet side is all huge plain and dry grassy land
