To be honest was expecting something less than this. Because of how young these musicians are and how complex the tune is. I would say though still two points of constructive criticism. The guitarist and the bassist are 100 percent but the drummer and keyboardist missing only a slight aspect of the original tune. The drummer is accurate as hell here so not concerned about that, and despite on one or two occasions of him missing very specific Portnoy parts ex the double time modulation in the b section of the verses I never felt it was missing nor that this drummer needed to include it in his performance of this piece! But, his energy level is low and is missing the portnoy esque spirit in the performance. An easy fix for this drummer but a fix he can make when informed of it by the community here. The keyboardist, just like the talented drummer, shows amazing accuracy of timing and control of odd meter playing. The whole group really sounding impressive here, no weak links just to mention. My critique for her though is that in some of her chord voicing playing the seemingly balanced yet dissonant Kevin Moore parts somehow have the dissonant note of that chord stand out more than Moores original performance. This might be a case of proper organ sound choice along with proper equalising. Moore had a more blended church organ sound while this version has a cleaner digital tone that unfortunately over exposes the dissonant notes. A mild critique with sincere intentions. Overall the whole band are amazing and the small details I mention above are no impact on my enjoyment. I found the guitarist and bassist quite matching to the original and the drummer and keyboardist faulting only in the aspects mentioned above. I think it fine to offer perspective when possibly beneficial. None of these musicians need compliments when they are already so good. Any critique is whats worth while for their progress. That said, perhaps others disagree
No musician started perfect. I commend her for She had the guts to perform on stage and not everybody can muster up the courage to do so. Respect for these musicians.
@@meowtrox1234 LOL i can't remember when i typed this comment. It was four years ago and I was a teenager when i did it so, the only thing i can say about this is the chords still sound bad to me, but... Who cares really? They are having fun after all and that's cool.
