    Hi Cassie. This is my favorite videos of the month!! May I make a suggestion - Its time to change the backgroud. You need a fresh start on making some more vlogs, like going shopping for different items of makeup. Take us along, we want to come. Also your cooking videos were great!! Happy Sunday to you & the kitties. 👍🏻😃🧡

    Oooh, but you sprayed the dry shampoo so close! 😂 I got it in my playbox too. It really is super white, but I found that it wasn’t noticeable in my medium brown hair once I rubbed it in. I kinda liked it because it didn’t leave anything feeling sticky or anything.

    The foundation you're wearing looks fantastic on you! Probably the best I've seen in your videos--finish and shade (which is dead on). Hopefully you like it too and it wears well.

    I have darker roots & I always spray a hefty amount of dry shampoo in my hair before bedtime. That way it soaks up all the oil while I’m sleeping & from lying on the pillow the white powdery appearance is gone too. I’m sure dry shampoo on my pillow isn’t great for my skin, but it’s working for me right now. Lol. P.s. I just use whatever dry shampoos I can find on sale or in the cheap.

  • @emilynewkirk2462

    maybe you wouldn't have gotten those streak spots from the dry shampoo if you didn't spray so close to your scalp. I feel like if you sprayed a few more inches away it would've preformed better for you

    Hi Cassie! If you're ever struggling with a dry shampoo that leaves white marks - try running a towel through your hair (like when you toweldry it after washing it). It has saved my hair when I've tried new dry shampoos that end up leaving a white cast 😊 loved the video btw! 👍😊

    I want to try the butter bronzers so much, but the colors are absolutely garbage. The darkest shade is barely darker than the other shades. Physicians Formula made this huge deal about new shades and then released basically nothing...I have no desire to, or even ability to with the awful shade range, to buy from the brand.

    Pore fillers will block you up because they do just that: fill your pores with gunk. I'm an oily girl myself and I gave up on the pore fillers/oil control primers about a year ago because of how badly they break me out. :(

    Cassie, I forgot to mention the dry shampoo that I absolutely love. Not Your Mother's. Clean Freak Tapioca Dry Shampoo. The fragrance is Warm Sugar. Talc free. I have baby fine, reddish brown hair (color treated), and it doesn't turn my hair gray or white. Inexpensive. You can find it at Wal-Mart or I believe Target. It's definitely worth a try.

    One time I woke up really late and needed to be somewhere and had 3 day greasy hair and I didn't have time to shower... imagine my horror and despair when I realized I had no dry shampoo left.😱😱 I'm one of those girls who looks like Ms. Trunchbull from Matilda in a ponytail, 😭 so I'd rather not pull it up. Sooo in my desperation I grabbed my corn starch and a flat foundation brush and rubbed it on my roots and it worked! I have dark brown hair and it did add a lighter cast to it, but it worked lol so if anyone is in a pinch 😅😂

    Try the Hourglass mineral veil if the Benefit one is breaking you out. It’s expensive as shit but they have a smaller bottle for $19. It’s got that silicony texture, bit of a white cast but you just press it in. Make up layers really nice. Also, Anna sui on Beautylish has a rose scented silicone primer in a cute pot that is also perfect. It feels chunky but you rub it in finger first to break it down and then press it in. Those two are my go-to for long wearing and smoothing.

  • @kpeugh2011

    I like “Pore-fessional” But it blocks my pores. So I use my Clarisonic so help remove it and I sometimes will use a different primer UNDER it so it doesn’t get full access to my skin and is less likely to break me out. Also I think they might make an unscented version.

  • @sdeoliveira17
    @sdeoliveira17 6 лет назад

    I would recommend using a really good pore cleanser if you’re going to use the Porefeshional. Because it’s purpose is to mask pores you’re also running the risk of clogging them. If you’re going to use it make sure you’re really cleansing your skin really well. Maybe even try a mask at night on the days you have used it

  • @amarie5836

    Cassie - if you coat the area underneath Benefit Porefessional with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer it won’t break you out! It’s like the Smashbox primer creates a barrier that protects you from it but still allows it to work!

    The porefessional breaks me out too. But I've found a way to use it that I like, under my eyes. It fills any crepe lines and I put barely any light/ medium coverage concealer over it, tapped on. But yes, the breakouts, for me, are tiny just like clogged sweat glands. They go away, but not worth dealing with.

    Have you tried the Dr. Brandt Pores No More primer? It has that silicone-y feeling, blurs pores very well, and it has a noticeable tea tree oil scent. I got the travel size version and had a few small breakouts for the first week, but now use it daily with no problems. I've never used the benefit primer so I don't have a good comparison, but was wondering if you'd tried the Dr. Brandt and had any opinions.

    Best dry shampoo I’ve ever tried is the apple cider vinegar one from dpHUE (got it from Ulta) no terrible white cast (I have very dark hair!), no gross tacky residue feeling, makes hair refreshed and clean and I can still touch and run my hands through it! Fresh but not overly perfumed smelling. I wouldn’t say it’s heavy duty for like several days worth after washing but definitely good for second and sometimes third day hair. I don’t have oily hair though so it may not be as heavy duty as some would like. Only downside for me is that I go through it quicker than some other brands and it’s not real cheap.

    Your eye color is POPPIN' in this video!
    I also have been kind of disappointed in how the Pretty Vulgar liner wears. Even when I set it with black eyeshadow, it smudges all over the outer corner of my eye. :/ I've had other liners that don't have this problem, and I'm with you: that many steps should not be necessary in a product like eyeliner that can easily be a one-step, self-setting kind of deal.

    The regular professional broke me out too, but I’ve been using the matte gel progressional and it doesn’t clog my pores! :) it’s a gel consistency and has a cooling sensation but it smooths out the skin and makes it so soft and blurs pores

    If u haven't tried the Nyx pore filler primer try it out cause I don't think it's scented and it works exactly the same as the benefit version. Also I really enjoy the Revlon pore filling primer but I think it might be scented. Neither one of those primers break me out and the benefit one breaks me out too.

  • @lena7623
    @lena7623 6 лет назад

    Benefit SERIOUSLY needs to get rid of the scent in the Porefessional. I would buy it every time if it was unscented. Nyx makes a primer called Pore Filler in a white tube that I find to be a decently close dupe, though, so maybe that would for you.

    I've been having really good luck (like my face is still matte barely edging into satin after 10 hours) with Shiseido sunscreen as a primer, then foundation, set with the Too Faced peachy powder and matching setting spray. I'd suggest giving that a try to get a similar effect of the primer that broke you out :/

  • @tayloroconnor07

    Cassie! I use the benefit porefessional everyday and I love it! I do use another primer before it tho, I'd recommend that. I use the benefit matte rescue primer under it but I'd say you could just use something that's more of a base to create a barrier between the porefessional and your skin. It works well for me! Hate to see that you love it but it breaks you out, definitely not worth it!

    Porefessional is a pore-filling/smoothing primer that’s silicone-based. Silicone creates a film on the skin that traps dirt, oil, and dead skin cells underneath it. It can also, in layman’s terms, pull makeup and other ingredients from the product it’s in and other products down into the skin. That’s probably what’s breaking you out. ☹️

I immediately went online and ordered the full size, which came with a FREE mini (which I gave to my sister). Try using the DryBar as like a texture spray! It’s the only way I can use it!

    The Porefessional breaks me out too. It's all silicones. There's like three different kinds of dimethicone in the first four ingredients. I'd guess that's probably why your skin hates it so much!

    When you were talking about Porefessional, I imagined you swearing away like the Beauty News girls, haha! Looking good Cassie, for someone who struggles with heat, you look perky and refreshed :-) It's been 20°C to 24°C here in the UK and folks are already saying that's it's too hot 😅
