Oh ho, very excited to see drugstore eye primers reviewed systematically like this, especially for hooded eyes! I've only tried Milani and Covergirl, very much preferred the latter. I always set with my translucscent powder, especially since I also prime on no-eyeshadow days to keep eyeliner and mascara from being disturbed as quickly.
I'm looking forward to more of this series! I've been using the Covergirl lid lock primer, but it's been getting more difficult for me to find, so this is perfect timing. I sometimes use a neutral eyeshadow to "set" my primer, but most of the time I just go straight in with my main eyeshadow.
I’m so happy you are looking forward to this series, I’ve been wanting to do it for a while. I hear the Covergirl primer is so good, I think I just got mine off of Amazon. Hopefully I have the same results as you with this primer, I’ve never had the best luck not setting an eye primer.
I’m excited about this series. Thanks for putting it together. I thought the joy of eye primer was not needing to set it, so I don’t, but maybe I should try.
@@stephanieholiday The classic Urban Decay or the Rare Beauty. I’ve had good luck with the Nars one, too, although it seems to be sold out/being discontinued. :(
You are so funny because you say what I’m thinking when I’m thinking it lol I do like how this primer looked on you, the pigment to cancel discoloration, and how it made the shadows pop. It’s disappointing that it created some texture without setting. Usually if I’m going for a super blended look I will always powder but if I want something more vibrant with more shape I will not powder.
I never set primer up :D nice to see your content, as I need only hooded eyes approved primers in my stash :D I'm wondering what is your opinion on famous plouise primer, for me it's not approved :D
I know this is a late reply but you do need to shake the primer prior to using! The ingredients do seperate, it has a few ingredients to help keep the primer from drying prematurely.
I use primer to prevent mascara transfer also!
You know, I’ve noticed that with with different eye primers, my mascara doesn’t transfer! Never realized that would have that much of an impact.
What primer do you recommend for the mascara transfer because I get it a lot even with waterproof because my eyes are really hooded now please ❤

I’m so excited for this series!!! I typically do not set my primer with powder.
I’m so happy that you’re excited! What eye primer do you use? I don’t really have the best luck with not setting my eye primers.
@@stephanieholiday I use the Ulta matte primer. But maybe it would work better if I set it😂
Lol definitely give it a try, I feel like the blending process is much smoother.
Girl !! Yes your back! ❤

I don't like to set my eyeshadow primer with powder because I'm an older lady and don't want any extra stuff that will enhance crepeiness.
Was it watery for you it took forever to get primer out and not water
