We started dating in 78, married in 1980 right before my 16th birthday, he passed away suddenly October 2022😢 miss him so bad, can't hardly listen to my favorite,70s music anymore, we were the 70s😌🫶✌️
dave tay There are many differences. In this version the drum track in the original begins with the first verse. In this one, it begins way after, with "If never I held you". Also the drums and background vocals are more clearer in this.
I Like this version the best. I have heard Garth Brooks do his version of the song. I would like to have seen Garth Brooks and Peter Criss sing it together.
There is a video of Rod Stewart covering this song with a KISS tribute band called Sin City KISS. It can be found here.ruclips.net/video/-Iu3j8HHbAo/видео.htmlsi=3r1eVsQpamWIEg_M

@@morbuscoldstone719 + The drums start at the second paragraph, not way after.

Great version
Perfect song for Rod Stewart🙂
Gene insisted Peter should sing it.

I like how the backing vocals got enhanced. You can really hear Gene and Paul with the harmony.
I don't hear gene in this song at all
@@stevedonahue7956I agree. I don't hear Gene's voice.
@@SixStringSteveDeliversI can hear it. I'm listening through my phone but I definitely hear gene in the chorus.
Good song
Great record!
Best from the Up Late with JOhnny Potenza show aka Late Night with Johnny P
way better than the one in Rock N Roll Over version
Beth is good but hard luck woman will always be my favorite Peter song.
i think two vocal takes may be together in this version considering the way he says “but there so much you’ll never know” is different than the album
I know. Peter's lead vocal sounds different on this version. They probably used an alternate take on this mix.
From what I can tell..they bumped up the harmonies with Paul and Gene...a bit more echo..Peter's voice sounded smoother on the original.
Claudio and Edith 🎶❤❤❤❤💋💋💋💋💋🕇 1980
What idiot gave this a thumb's down?! This 1978 version is better than the 'R&R Over' version.
You forgot the "I'm flying high, ooooh baby" as the last line of the outro.
