I love how Aunt March doted on Amy. Like she was always so strict with everyone it was nice to see her warm up to anybody. And that knowing smile she gives Amy when she gets back into the carriage

because Amy was always a Lady, even as a child ... and how great is Meryl as Aunt March???

I always find it hilarious how Amy's clothes remain completely spotless including her apron when she paints.

I still can't believe this is the same woman who played a professional wrestler, or a Black Widow.

I grew up with the 90s adaptation, but this is my favorite. Greta Gerwig is a genius

    A masterpiece of an adaptation.

No. It isn’t. Sorry. But it’s a hatchet job.

Jeez, what's with so many bitter and pretentious people in this comments section lmao. It's not a competition between adaptations.
God forbid someone likes all of them 😭

I wish you were joking. If you are literate, you should know what movie this is, as mentioned in the title of the video.
If you are just lazy, god help your soul.

Is Amy is going to be written a and played this well, then you need to cast a much much much better Jo

Are you serious? Saorsie was a perfect Jo. I think all of them were

Florence Pugh and Saoirse Ronan are perfectly cast.
Still, I think they should’ve gone with child actress for younger Amy.
Emma Watson is a disaster. I was mesmerized with book Meg and her portrayal is boring at best and disapointing at worst.
Eliza Scanlen is not bad but not spectacular, either. Dakota Fanning would do a better job.

That’s the best version! With Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes, Trini Alvarado and Susan Sarandon. What a stellar cast!

  • @CarolineSaysStuff

Florence Pugh turned this character from annoying but loveable to insufferable. Kirsten Dunst was much better.

@imcnagpc2far superior. This is 21st century bs in period dresses. But I didn’t expect any better from Gerwig.

Meryl needs to retire and let other women her age get some of the roles.

Florence Pugh and all these actresses look way too old to play the sisters in this version. The 1994 casting is more more believable, and a better film.

      @buxxi90 7 months ago +2

Florence Pugh is younger in his movie than Samantha Mathis was for the 1994 one.
