      Hey WCR, Thanks for the comment. We do our best to provide timely and detailed responses to questions. Yes, there are a lot of Rancilio Silvia fans and some disappointment when the original single boiler Silvia was not in our 5 favorite single boilers video this year. It was in past years. For your coffee cart you might take a look at the this NSF rated Crem machine: www.wholelattelove.com/collections/semi-automatic-espresso-machines/products/crem-one-hx-espresso-machine
      It's fairly light compared to similar machines, attractive price point and plumbable to waterline if available at your cart's location.

    Hi Marc, greetings from New Zealand again :) It's been about 1 1/2 years since I bought my Pro 600. I did so much research but it was your videos that confirmed it was the right machine for me. I then bought the Ceado E37J which is a great grinder for my budget. Since then I've been experimenting with dosing cups (helps with clumping) and puck screens. I'm blown away by the difference using a puck screen combined with an IMS Nano Quartz shower screen. The machine and workflow is so much cleaner. • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage Год назад +1

      Hi Justin, Thanks for the question. For low flow any current ECM or Profitec machine with an E61 group can be fitted with flow control. In 2022 Profitec released the Pro 400 and ECM brought out the Mechanika Slim VI. These heat -exchange boiler machines both have a pre-infusion mode that runs the pump for ~5 seconds, pauses for ~3 and then resumes normal extraction. It's a feature that can be turned on/off by the user. Both also have user selectable temperature presets. A 3 postion switch lets one easily select cooler brew temps appropriate for dark roasts or higher brew temp that's good for medium/light roasts. The third position bumps up pressure/temperature in the boiler for extra steaming power. Temps are controlled by PID, but just at the 3 presets instead of a full range of temps you have on regular PID machines. I have been working with a prototype for a new ECM HX machine with some interesting new capabilities. Not sure if/when it will be released and since it's not public I cannot disclose any details.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage Год назад +1

      Hi AC, Synchronika is my favorite dual boiler machine. Def the overall best prosumer level dual boiler machine on the market. Think I mentioned in the video the Synchronika and Pro 700 are essentially identical internally. The major differences between your 600 and Sync/700 are larger boilers, rotary pump and plumbability direct to waterline. When plumbed direct to waterline either machine can do line pressure pre-infusion. Rotary pumps are quieter and have a higher flow rate than the vibe pump in the 600. If you equip machine with flow control you'll have more flow rate to play with. Flow control is currently a free upgrade on either machine from Whole Latte Love. www.wholelattelove.com/products/ecm-synchronika-dual-boiler-with-flow-control And you can customize with various wood species on levers and portafilters.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage 3 месяца назад

      Hi user, Overkill? Depends on how critical you are of your espresso. Libra is without question a much better grinder than the Breville built in. The Pro 300 is a step up in build quality and reliability. With proper maintenance, you can expect it to run for decades. If it ever has a problem it's very repairable. Beyond that, the Pro 300 uses real boilers while the Breville uses a thermoblock. You can expect better brew temperature stability on the Pro 300 as well as always available steam and more of it.

    I keep hearing how the Lelit Mara X is superior to the Profitec Pro 300 because of the temperature control it has. It is HX instead of dual boiler so heat up times are around 25min instead of the quick PP300. Wondering how WLL compares these two machines at a similar price point?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage Год назад +3

      Hi Keith, Thanks for the question. Modern E61 group machines with HX boilers controlled by PID do a relatively good job at keeping temps stable. But most need a cooling flush if sitting on and idle for extended periods. When it's needed depends on variables like ambient temps, was the PF kept in the group, etc. Keep in mind the steam producing section of an HX boiler runs much hotter than the desired brew temp so these machines depend on the thermosiphon out to the group and back to keep that circuit's water near the desired brew temp. The group is a big heat sink so cooler ambient temps or even a draft changes how much heat it gives up. The dual boiler Pro 300 runs the boiler much closer to the desired brew temp than an HX boiler. Since it's not shedding nearly as much heat as an E61 group it's more stable and predictable in most situations. The Pro 300's boiler is smaller so recovery time after use is likely longer as there's a bigger temp drop in the boiler with use. The Pro 300 should provide more consistent and stable temps in low frequency usage. If you're the type who turns the machine and makes 2-3 coffees over the space of an hour the Pro 300 is ready to go sooner with less hassle trying to figure if a flush is needed or not.

    I wish espresso companies innovated more, instead of adding lipstick on a pig that is the E61 machine. It's the same old tech from 1961 with a few bells and whistles here and there. I get that these machines last a long time and are easier to repair. That's not an excuse for not innovating and providing more control during ,and feedback after pulling an espresso shot.
    The real innovation is coming from an "outsider", i.e Decent Espresso. Decent machines give fantastic control and feedback. Synesso is making the ES1, which is a Decent clone with dual boiler. Hopefully other manufacturers will follow.

    Машина La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler потекла при первом же включении, рабочего давления помпа не показала. Стоит такая красивая, кнопочки горят, но совершенно бесполезная и течет по-тихому. Приобреталась в качестве подарка, не включали 15 дней, попали на гарантийный ремонт. Гарантийный ремонт в исполнении ООО "Время кухни" (продавец) и ООО "СМЕГ Руссия" (поставщик) превратился в кошмар - машинку забрали и 12 дней никакой информации. Дали телефоны 3 (трех) авторизованных центров. Первый сразу же забрал машинку, никакой информации о ее судьбе больше нет. На звонки обещают уточнить и перезвонить. Может и уточняют, но не перезванивают, следующий раз - опять обещание уточнять. Уже боязно, не мошенники ли, вернется ли машинка, опять же - какая?! Ведь если врут, значит это кому-нибудь нудно. The La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler machine leaked at the first start, the pump did not show working pressure. Warranty repairs performed by LLC "Kitchen Time" (seller) and LLC "SMEG Russia" (supplier) turned into a nightmare - the machine was taken away and there was no information for 12 days. Gave phone numbers of 3 (three) authorized centers. The first one immediately took the car, there is no more information about its fate. They promise to clarify and call back. I know you guys work so close with ECM and Profitec. The wood is a great addition but can they get rid of the chrome?
    We are way beyond stainless steel and chrome in the kitchen. Look at all the colors we get even fridges now you can color match. I think you should open discussion and let's get more color. Gaggia gives you color at $500 why can't a $3,000 machine have color instead of chrome?

      Hi Daniel, The wood is nice! It's difficult to break the tradition of the classic stainless steel/chrome finishes! But, we are seeing some departure and there's more to come! Synchronika is available with Anthracite sine panels. Profitec Pro 400 comes in 3 colors.

      Hi, Daniel, may I disagree ;-)
      I specifically bought this chrome and stainless steel combination - as it is timeless. And I am very happy with my decision. If something should ever happen to my machine (what I strongly doubt), I could easily polish off the scratch from the stainless steel.
      Before buying my _ECM Synchronika_ , I had a closer look at ECM’s 25th anniversary special edition. Yes, I liked the darker look of the finish - but I was afraid that within several years I would put it down to the 2022 Lifestyle…
      It is like with colors for a brand new car and I noticed that I wanted to be on the “safe side” by opting for the classic look ;-)
      On the other hand, my _Eureka Mignon Single Dose_ is pitch black and I even dyed the wooden parts - to make my Synchronika stick even more out on my self-made brewing bar.
      It is a pleasure to have this combination in my living room when coming back from the kitchen - and my Synchronika is looking at me with its beautiful barometers and its bright green and orange _“I am ready, no matter what”_ smile…

    Okay but can we talk about why every single one of these machines is ugly as sin? Why does function sacrifice style? The wood panels next to industrial stainless steel/chrome looks horrible. The 'help, my espresso machine ate my gaming computer' abomination is of its own class. The others are bland and boxy. I'm just disappointed that the best of the best require a paper bag on their head before producing incredible coffee at a remotely decent price point. Most affordable home machines with a sense of style that I've found are heat exchangers or worse :\
