I was referred to Pacific Law Group by one of your teammates. They appear to be a good fit. I had a consultation with another company and they do not contact creditors at the beginning of the process, which based on your video I am thinking that is a red flag. On their website it's a "negotiating tactic". My main concern is getting sued. Does a debt settlement company contacting creditors at the beginning of the process generally lead to decreasing the chances of being sued?
Great question, and thanks for the heads up! Yeah, I have found that they are a very honest company. I have to re-visit the video about red flags as some companies have different strategies in terms of reaching out to creditors. Some reach out potentially sooner than others. It's hard to say, but as I worked at a debt consolidation lender before, my hypothesis is that contacting creditors in the beginning would not have much impact with whether you would be sued.
