I understand what you say about the unnamed waterfall but it’s almost impossible to realise how far things in that part of New Zealand have changed with tourism etc. and the appreciation and keenness of New Zealanders for the outdoors. I notice this having lived in Australia for many years and it wasn’t like that when I left in late 1980s. I first went up that valley in the 1970s and Wanaka was a one horse town. I haven’t been back except driving through Wanaka to the Haast Pass in 1997 and it was still a blink and you miss it place. I was amazed visiting a friend in Wellington in 2019, to find that his daughter was doing a kind of university course in Wanaka. It’s grown hugely. The same with Queenstown, visiting as a kid, with orchards along the big river near there. Now, it’s like NZ’s Disneyland. It’s intoxicating stuff that you’re doing. Long may it continue and thanks for sharing with such high quality videos.
Hey mate, just found the channel and love the content and ideas you bring. The idea that adventure can be found in one's "backyard" and is just as (in fact oftentimes more!) fulfilling in those less grandiose locations is certainly true. Perhaps on account of their seclusion but certainly, that awesome feeling that maybe one or two less people have laid eyes on that "little low-flow waterfall" before you did. keep up the great work, I reckon you'd love some of the awesome canyons in the Blue mountains (claustral slot and surrounds), and tassie! , From Downunder (But slightly above NZ still...)
Wow. The last place looks amazing. Great video. Tell us a little bit about the location please and how did you get there? (West or East Matukituki valley?)
Wow, Jesse. I really enjoyed this video. I think it is common the world over not to think much of what is right there all around you. Partly, in the west anyway, we are taught to dream of far away and exotic places. And that adds to the whole thing of being blinded to the wonders right where you are. The Covid thing helped me to look at my own back yard differently; with new eyes and new appreciation. Thanks, good sir.
As a fellow NZ growing up here I suppose we do take this country for granted but since covid hit we been getn out exploring our own backyard and we really do appreciate what we have
Hi, Your video is amazing. Where is it precisely at 6min44s I'm bored in vacation in new Zealand. Looking for more adventurous trip Can I pay you to bring me there tmr (in a photography way. If it's possible to arrive there without making my camera wet)?
@@JesseStLouis Bro, your videos are the ones I have been searching for. As a child of Gaia, I absolutely resonate with your amazing and beautiful takes of such phenomenal beauty on this planet. Please keep doing what you do , brother and love, light, peace, and harmony on your explorations🤙
Keep It up bro love your content! I'm starting a channel where soon I'll be going off grid planning to move around the states. Any suggestions? I'm in Cali and want to drive across the country!
So I think I know the answer, but is NZ way better than CA/Utah/Colorado for adventure? Or would you qualify that by North Island and South Island? Still very pissed that we had to cancel our NZ trip last fall!
It's very similar to the Pacific Northwest in terms of rainforests, glacial water ways and volcanic mountains and geological features. There's a lot more helicopter tours here. There's glowworm caves and of course the Maori culture. But for a close approximation to the nature adventures of New Zealand the PNW is very similar.
Wow amazing I hate when people just scroll your video and ignore the buety of nature and they perfare video games like you say real life is better than a videogame

South Island Or North Island, which part of New zealand is most beautiful✨??
They are very different. South for mountains and North for beaches I think.
