Yep brought that up too. But with market makers I think it’s not so bad. Their bid/ask kinda has to follow NAV anyway and the underlying stocks are liquid
😊 Emir thanks! By the way have been meaning to ask this. What does the other figures besides the price means for example on the left in the bid there is 1500 with (1) and on the ask side there is 8000 with (4). Thanks again
This one I’m not 100% sure either. If I had to guess I’d say that’s how many orders are being placed there. So 8000(4) would mean 8000 lots split across 4 orders
I've been watching this ETF, and other tradeplus ETFs, since they were issued. The problem with ETF in Malaysia is that, as others already said, no volume. The issuers always dodge the question by saying they have market makers, but that's just irresponsible. MM themselves don't make trades happen. Without trades, things like stop orders can't even function properly, and good luck trying to do technical analysis (i tried once to do that using iopv, but eventually gave up). MM spreads are also too wide, it's like they're trying to profit off investors instead of trying to help encourage trading. Overall, i think ETF in Malaysia has no hope, especially all Bursa knows how to do to promote ETF is just organize TnG wallets topup lottery, as if investors are more interested in lucky draw than making money trading. I actually felt sorry for that trade plus lady manager who worked so hard trying to push their ETF 😢😢😢
2048 hours 8th June. Thank you for this lovely post. Since this ETF invests in momentum stocks, and momentum and sentiment can change very quickly, wouldn’t a more frequent rebalancing, eg monthly or fortnightly (not 3 monthly) be more appropriate? Your expert view much appreciated.
The moomoo app has an indicator to let you know. One thing to note though is that there seems to be differing opinions on what’s shariah compliant and not
I was observing the MM move the price, it was high one moment even as the main index was pulling back...then suddenly jumped down. I guess you got caught at the top of the MM move. In any case, the liquidity is VERYYYYY low, so the MM will be the king maker anyday. Still a good strategy for times when the market is on uptrend, especially so for lower capital.
@@zenzenzenxThe MM in bursa ETF sucks. They can mess up the price they offer, and sometimes had even failed to enter the market until I reported to their helpline. I'm not sure why they even bother to issue ETFs.

The problem with Malaysian ETF is takde volume. The local bull is also having more than 75 Malaysia focused unit trust with YTD >25%

It jump 10% open market. Might be someone buying a lot after looking at your video. Haha@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia
I was thinking the same 😂😂 but nah Malaysian market doing good still
it's not hard,it's human emotion that takes over.

@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia Oh okay, i thought for 1500 (1) means one dude wanted to buy 1,500 shares (15 lots) at RM9.91 😃

Trading it is definitely not possible haha. You’re right, at its current state with volume and liquidity it’s only viable as an investment
Bro.. refer on Eq8 US Titan50.. the liquidity is very low.. could be difficult to sell in the future.. what do you think ?
Just saw there are market makers too, should be ok
hope you can make video abut versa give 6% p.a... just recently😁
Alright will consider it haha. Maybe will just go through the Versa invest and prs funds since everything else is quite straightforward

Think at the same time they don’t wanna flip in and out too much since it’s normal for stocks to go into pullbacks. 3 months is ok imo
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia Thank you for your thoughts
I guess the underlying index re-balances quarterly, so the fund will follow suit. No active management.
How to know Malaysian ETF or rather S&P 500 are both shariah compliant?

For us etf which one use the momentum etf?
There are a few. Have a look at MTUM
I saw there are 1% of management fee, is this charge base on full annual expense ratio or prorated if let say i investment only 3 months?
It should be prorated!
Point of contention; confusing since their BURSA daily filings indicate a total expense ratio of 0.66%
Cannot c owner's reply?
fee 1.00%...? tak mahal ke?
Mahal jugak tapi most ETFs yang belum banyak volume mmg macam ni
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia harap tuan boleh buat video pasal fee ETF (Malaysia/US)
Unless you are a long term investor.... ETFs with hardly any volume is as bad as idle money
This is purely for long term investment in my view
What is the expense ratio?
1% management fee
Sounds decent. But certainly is high risk.
Wouldn’t say it’s very high risk but yeah the risk is definitely there
i just bought 10k yesterday and lost 1.5k today. hope it will go up again
What price did you get it at? Hope you didn’t hit market when there weren’t any market makers 😅

Too bad its not shariah compliant 🤔
agree
Yep 😅 there’s some that are, will do some research on them to see if it’s worthwhile
