As we say in our family you can plan the most wonderful Disney get that really hard to get restaurant reservations get really hard to get fast passes stay at your favorite resort but you can’t plan the weather but you make the most of it and come back when the weather is better
I'm so sorry y'all got sea sick😪 We was at Lookout in early November, our thoughts are food just OK but love the locals artists ❤ We got a beautiful hand carved turtle 🐢 and a handcrafted fan❤ Thanks for sharing 🤗♥️🚢

Even rocky waters and high winds couldn't ruin our DCL love! We do joke that we need a do-over though after this sailing (we couldn't dock at Castaway Cay the next day either). 🤣
We do recommend it! We always confirm that we are GF (and celiac) or have food allergies (Brandon), and we've never had any issues. Sometimes it does take a bit longer. On our most recent sailings, they were extremely thorough at outlining all the allergies when the food arrived too!
Oh my goodness that wind was INTENSE. Yikes! So sorry you weren't able to fully enjoy the island and that rough seas interfered with your dinner plans. Just seeing the rocking through the camera has me 🤢 I feel badly for those who were on their first cruise. Glad you have the experience to know it's not always like this.
It was definitely the most intense wind we've experienced on a cruise, that's for sure! It was definitely a bummer for first time cruisers, but we hope folks still had a great time despite the weather!
We definitely had a lot of crazy weather on this sailing! We are definitely looking forward to going back to Lookout Cay when the weather isn't so windy!
Unfortunately I remember the magazines and newspapers at Cove Cafe that means I am old! 😅# Cove Cafe is the best cafe! I will be going to Lookout Cay @Lighthouse Point in May on the Magic after my Treasure Cruise I hope the weather cooperates!

It's OK! These things happen, and you can't control weather. It definitely gave us some laughs! Overall, the trip was great! We definitely want to go back on the Fantasy again & experience Lookout Cay when the weather is a bit better, so we can see more of the island!
@@glutenfreedairyfreedisney well you were right to think the pier walk is rough in the summer. We did a back to back on the Magic this August and it was a wonderful experience on the island the two days we went but the walk back to the ship was very difficult. We made sure to bring our sneakers the second time and that helped. Still worth it spending some time there but we did opt to eat lunch on the ship the second time, which was nicer than the island.

We've sailed several times in January, and honestly, it can be hit or miss depending on the weather. Later in January is probably better than earlier, when it tends to be rainier and windier. It really was a memorable cruise! 🤣 That's so exciting about your first cruise. If you're prone to motion sickness or aren't sure about if you'll be a bit motion sick, we would recommend a mid-ship room location on your first sailing. We typically avoid decks 9 & 10 because they're closer to the pool deck and can be a bit noisier & some room locations closer to common areas like theaters or the kids club we tend to avoid. Hope this helps! 😍

My daughter has Celiac. In 6 DCL cruises, we've never ordered room service for her. We might try it on our next cruise!
