True, our Prophet (PBUH) went Mi’raj physically. Allah took him there to have a special meeting and a gift of prayer. Of course, our Prophet (PBUH) didn’t go there to see Gabriel Amin (as). He saw him many times on earth.
Whether it was physical or not is moot. Nonetheless, it was real. If the Hadith about the bed still being warm is believed to be true, this indicates to me that it was a spiritual journey, akin to a dream, but one that was so real, it’s equivalent to a normal real life encounter. Or, if it was actually physical, perhaps the prophet travelled via what in modern parlance is called a wormhole, and so the distance commuted was bypassed to seem that the journey was almost instantaneous and that time “does not pass” in Jannat. Whatever the reality, the prophet was somehow “in the presence” of the Divine being, which is physically impossible since God is an immaterial being and cannot be contained physically as a sum of parts. God’s essence is conceptually unknowable and can only be “known” through its opposite concept to material, i.e., spiritual. Perhaps the prophet’s ability to be in God’s presence was that special state made possible due to every human being having a ruh- the part of his essence which was “breathed” into him by God and allows us to know Him, and which allows all blessed human beings to “see” the “face” of God in Jannat.
Why defending Abu Huraira? Did you know that he received his education from Kaab al Ahbar, the advisor of Omar and a Jewish rabbi ??? Imam Ja'far Al Sadiq عليه الصلاة و السلام defined Me'raj so clearly that Einstein in his late years was able to prove his theory of relativity E=MC² through His works ! There's no ifs & buts or maybe etc .. in Islam, it's a complete divine religion. No consensus no ijma can change whatsoever in Islam, either you're right or you're wrong !
Allah swt xx knows best fam still ❤❤

I sometimes wonder where Hamza Yusuf get those strane sounding hadiths. Most likely, they're weak hadiths used by Sufi sects and other deviant sects
You make it easy for yourself and keep it moving it's that simple.
