4:04 Speaking of children... I read Nils Holgersson's journey through Sweden fifty years ago. Then I found out about this country...

The old wooden boat are beautiful but fiberglass has saved a lot of trees.

After Sweden lost Vorpommern and its timber, several oaks were planted on Visingsö in lake Vättern to ensure future supply to the navy. They were ready 1975. The navy declined 👍

But timber actually does grow on trees, naturally solar powered, and the waste is really biodegradable. The glass fiber and glue mess is really terrible, from a renewability perspective...

@@mellertid But where I live they didn't use oak to build boats. They used mahogany from the rain forests of Southeast Asia. And wooden boats were hard to maintain. I would never want a wooden boat.

@@justcallmejohn2833 Fair enough, wood isn't *automatically* sustainable. Arguably, finite resources that can't be cycled are unsustainable. Like fibreglass. But of course I don't expect wooden boats to be mainstream again anytime soon. My main point was that wood (and woods) potentially renews itself (themselves), and in that case trees used doesn't imply a loss (almost like eating an apple doesn't mean we'll have fewer apples left).

@@mellertid Our entire modern life style is unsustainable. But I can't see the majority of people giving up their modern conveniences. And consumerism has become a way of life for most people. I own too many things but I hardly ever shop anymore. I pretty much only buy what I need now

0:04 Sweden's flags looks so cool, calm, and peaceful!
Maybe cause it doesn't have any stars, strips or red color in its flag!!

    So, lately it's Djurgården 2 Hammarby 1. I'm not gonna lie. I don't fancy this tendency... 🤔

The sweden from water would be amazing. I guess Go Pro is the camera that can do the trick for you.
Thanks for the walk. I like walking in a mild rain a lot.

A park area with museums, not yet opened for the day and with people at work and kids in school... what did you expect?
