    a good handy set up have been gardening since the age of 10 that is now 46 years have practically done everything to do with gardening maintence have also had my own gardencentre/nursery have used almost every make and type of gardening tool you can think of i always believed in having the right tool for the job keep things well maintained and sharp and buy the best tools you can afford that is why alot of my tools are Makita with Ryobi,stihl,Husqvarna ,Rover and Hayter

    Cant say ive ever seen a gardener using a van here in Australia. We all use trailers hooked up to our utes. We also put 2 stroke in the green and unleaded in the red

      It’s funny it’s the other way round in the uk all vans hardly any pic ups lol

      If I had a pick up I couldn't cut back gardens. I'd be running back all the time to check no junkie has made off with my tools 😂

      2015 Peugeot expert
      Used to have a little Vauxhall combo for more than 10 years,I loved that van. Could cram some waste in tbh.

      Quick tip about your fuel. I go for the higher octane unleaded for my tools, think it improves there performance.
      Mind you I think your mainly battery powered, right?

    Thanks for the tour. Here in the USA everybody runs big trucks and trailers. I think I'll go with a van if my truck kicks the bucket as I think it will suite my needs better as a solo gardener. I very rarely have to haul waste.

      I wish we had more bigger trucks in the uk problem is our roads are quite narrow compared to the USA

    just found your channel, loved the custom, had a loaner while my dispatch was off the road, it would be the only van I would have if not the dispatch.

      Hi thanks for joining I love the custom the dispatch is another great van I couldn’t decide so ended up going with some advise from an AA driver who said the 2.2 transit was best

    Hello how’s it going great video of your van set up I was wondering have you ever tried using an orchard ladder a much safer way and how do you use your little green leaf pick it up device cheers

      There quite easy to use buddy I’m sure I’ve used them in a few videos when hedge cutting it easy to watch than explain but really easy and save your back from bending over like the big hand leaf collectors

    Nice set up 👍🏾 mine looks similar with bungee cables holding everything in place, eventually I want to use hooks and shelves but I'll add them bit by bit

      Yeah same the shelving is quite expensive so I’m time I e always got other bits to buy like machinery and parts etc

    I’m here from Rob’s Maxwells grass cutting services, I use to be a gardener in Lincolnshire, your van is a lot tidy than mine ever was

      Lol I gave it a quick tidy before I filmed instead of sweeping jumped in the back with the blower on tick over cleaned in seconds 😂

    Best tip I’ve received recently is beware of the new E10 unleaded fuel
    Shelf life of 3 weeks and attracts moisture
    Don’t leave old fuel in machines over winter
    Also either use dearer E5 fuel or/and ad fuel fit from briggs & Stratton

      I heard this about a year ago someone said to me in the mower shop not to buy the cheap stuff to run on the super unleaded/V POWER stuff and ever since my machines have been better
      Hopefully more people are made aware of this just incase they don’t know

      Alittle bit of that mate theft is huge over here you have to be careful and put extra locks on your van etc however these thief’s will always find a way in they aren’t scared to take a man’s livelihood
      Vans are slightly better than pick ups over here

    do you know your passenger side seat has storage underneath for smaller items like hand tools and strimmer line etc

      Go to a local builders merchants and see if they have anything like that
      Not sure if it’s different in the US
      In the uk sand and aggregates get delivered in ton bags

      Hi David, in the summer months and the dry months, you want to be using a flat hoe and then in the winter months just for lightly turning over the soil you want the prong hoe to avoid damaging bulbs

    Your van looks very much like mine, organised chaos! I have a Nissan NV200, a bit smaller, but amazing what you can fit in it!👍Chap. I worked for gardening companies for many years, but wasn't happy with the way they were run. Took the plunge and went self employed about 12 years ago. Best thing I ever did! It's a big leap, so absolute respect to you young man!

      @@THETATTOOGARDENER83. Spot on chap, in my mid fifties now and looking to slow down. It's funny, because you can work less days, but can't slow down the pace you're used to working at! I genuinely wish you all the best in the future young man. It may not pay the best, but the job satisfaction after a long days graft is priceless!!!
