I love this piece. It's so beautiful and reassuring and the ensemble really did this one justice. We played this for All County band this year and I fell in love with it.
did you have Travis as a clinician? I met him this week at the tri-state wind festival at FSU, and the ensemble probably did it justice because it's Cross conducting his own band.
my high school is playing this and all I can say is I absolutely love this piece and can't wait to play it for Dr. Cross when we go to UCLA in a few weeks

Sadly I didn't. Our director, his name escapes me, but he knows him. He is the director of Virginia Tech's Marching Virginians, their marching band.
And I still love this piece!
The oboe solos to this song make me so happy :)

does anyone happen to know how many movements there are in this piece?
it isn’t set into movements
Who disliked it???
Probably somebody who much prefers, "Blah Blah Blah" by Armin Van Buuren. (I don't like that song at all. This is much better.)

Watching the percussionist playing the hi hat is making me uncomfortable
