Oddly enough I'd never paid attention to lyrics before but since they were on the screen I read them and they explained the shifts in the song as well as being intense in their support of misfits. I'm much more inclined to revisit this song having read them.
Same, this was my first time seeing the lyrics and they really blew me away.
Gacharic Spin for me, causes conflict. I prefer other lady Japanese bands but I would want to see Gacharic Spin live, more than some of the bands I prefer. A psychologist would have a 'field day' with me on that point. 🤣

Always difficult not to 'fan boy' over various lady Japanese bands. They are such a breath of fresh air in the metal and rock scene. I am going to watch your reaction to Broken Lover again. A perfect way to end a Monday. 😎
Gacharic Spin having the instrumental abilities they have combined with their amazing vocal skills, and vocal arrangement skills, makes them next level!

Great review - much respect for your honesty and insight - GS unfortunately remains the most underrated of the Big 4 of Japanese Female Rock (along with Band Maid, Nemophila, and Lovebites) - but great to see that their exposure seems to be picking up

Thank you so much David! 8.5 is a great score. I must admit I like it (the song) quite a lot. Your analysis is appreciated, you're like, 8.5, now let me tell you how great this is. Shows how much something in the 9's has to achieve. More importantly, was it good music or not is what matters, not granular details. Though I like that you do that.
Been waiting every day for this one! Yes a more serious performance but still with plenty of energy - this is probably their song that I keep getting new things from with each listen. Change in dynamics definitely the highlight for me - they only use the growl sparingly for effect. The next 4 songs you've got for Jun/Jul are all more on the fun side so look forward to seeing you enjoy those.
p.s. thanks for picking up on the pronunciation of the band name - now you just need to learn their names......

@@homegnome2429 tidak terlalu massive, seperti kita pahami bahwa musik GS yang tidak terlalu mainstream hanya untuk mereka yang unik😅 banyak band dan musisi yang hebat dan luar biasa, tetapi untuk decade ini menurut saya GS dengan fantastic 4 nya lah yang terbaik. Saya mendengarkan banyak musik, banyak band, banyak genre, tetapi GS meracuni saya😅 dan saya mencintai mereka.
LMAO watching David's face and thinking this was his sweet melody song. It was like watching someone standing in the middle of the road unsware of the semi coming at him at full speed. But as the trooper he is David rebounds quickly. This band and Aldious are two of the happiest bands out there. It has been proven scientifically that you can't go to a Gacharic Spin concert and not leave happy.

I was fortunate to see Gacharic Spin live at Shibuya Club Citta in March 2023, they did not disappoint. They were on stage for over 2 and a half enthralling, amazing rocking hours. Such a skilled group of musicians and fantastic entertainers, if you ever get the opportunity go see them.

Great review as always . It's a constant source of frustration to me that bands as talented and fun as GS aren't far more well known ( outside RUclips ) than they are . I blame their management ( and the management of many Japanese bands ) for their seemingly parochial attitude that being well known in Japan is good enough - lacks ambition IMHO - Babymetal are really the only exception to this and their touring has increased their popularity worldwide .
GS songs ALWAYS have a message and this one is no exception .
All in all I think they are a band that fly too far under the radar and don't get the kudos they deserve

It was a shame it has taken so long to embrace the international scene, but they are making progress - They are adding English subtitles, releasing lots of content on youtube, and they even have a contest for reactions to their newest music video. Hopefully they start touring outside of Japan, as well.

Gacharic Spin is an extremely chaotic band since their policy is to take everything and fuse it together. There are other bands with similar concepts, but I think Gacharic Spin is both well executed and successful.
The woman with the red hair is not a singer, but a mic performer who talks and moves around in addition to singing. There are three other singers. There used to be three other performers who were more like idols. Laughter.
For those who are too obsessed with music, this might be difficult music. Also, like Maximum the Hormone, people who are not interested in the lyrics will only perceive the sudden development and chaotic sound as surprise or wonder.
