So, a couple of things you can do but you'll have to have the tools. You could use a small flat head screw driver to try to pry the barrel nut out; or you could use a hammer and tap on the wood next to the hole to try to dislodge the barrel nut. Thanks for the comment! I'm curious if the top shelf was manufactured wrong and came out crooked or if maybe you tightened all of the bolts up. If the top shelf was manufactured wrong you should be able to contact the manufacturer and have them send you another top shelf piece. If you tightened all the bolts, try loosening each of them a bit, then trying to place the top shelf in again. May be worth it to give it a try. Appreciate that you watched the video!
