      Insurance companies typically does not cover fraudulent intent on behalf of the insured or the issuer. The 5th circuit already ruled on this, it's an intentional act and insurance companies would never pay for it. It's like buying insurance and then stealing the package to file a claim, it works the opposite way too.

    If a person robs ups, its a big felony with prison time and ruins their lives. When ups robs the people, they offer small refunds, say it's your fault for not buying the insurance they refuse to make good on and no serious punishment for the employees who commit the crimes. . Seems fair ?

    • @gregworrel2623
      @gregworrel2623 2 дня назад +2

      No serious punishment? The punishment in this case is on the justice system with felony charges. How would UPS know what you shipped to determine value? Take your word for it after it is lost? You are automatically covered for $100 for packages lost or damaged. The rest is on you to declare the value up front and pay for the insurance coverage. If you are just ordering things online, which is the vast majority of packages, the loss is on the shipper, not you.

      Don’t leave the other big guys out. Stole a useless prescription. After opening it threw it in a box. The sealed bag is gone 24 days later it shows up. I’m not going to take that. All for a good paying job due to an addiction only to see it was nothing. Never got in trouble. I don’t trust any of them anymore. Same company seemed to have drop kicked expensive guitar gear into the truck. A whistleblower showed the inside of the truck. It was boxes all over the place. Now try getting your $$$ back. No sir too bad. Well too bad for them. Called the actual store asked for a supervisor. Nasty woman said no. I said well actually I have insurance so you made a trust I signed saying we break it we pay for it and they did. So unpleasant. A waste of time. Just don’t accept no if you paid 100’s of dollars for shipping plus insurance. They owe you. And back to ups they could care less. Again, ask for a supervisor. They will keep hanging up on you so call the store and ask them to connect you to an obnoxious supervisor if you insured it. You know what? They still owe you but they’ll make it impossible if it’s not insured.

      Contrary to popular belief, employees are investigated every day at United Parcel Service. Some of the bad apples are in fact caught, arrested, walked out/fired, trespassed, and charged. Theft is a cardinal sin anywhere in life and WHEN thieves are caught doing it at UPS, they are held accountable. I think theft of any kind against another person is an absolute disgrace. No matter what form that theft comes in.

      I agree. The post office in Cleveland had my brother. He was a thug. He beat up people on his route. He attacked their pets. He destroyed property. He kept being protected by the union. They put him in the main station sorting. He fought with coworkers. He got hooked on drugs he bought from his new friends at work. It took six years before they said Enough and fired him.

A couple of thefts, a couple of shipped to wrong address cases, missing item once because wind was too strong, etc and in every single case got my money back or got my item ship again and I even got items for free when one of my neighbors took my expensive uggs boots and I made a complain for missing item, got it shipped again and my neighbors came to my home day after saying they took it to avoid someone else stealing it. I got so pissed off at them for taking the liberty of doing so. I reported immediately to amazon the minute it was missing and I reported it back right after my neighbor showed up with my boots and being told by amazon to keep the new merchandise.

The added thing that really ticks me off about this is I have a friend who just started working for UPS about a month ago, and it’s been ages since we’ve seen him this excited about a job he’s had. He loves it & is really good at it. This casts a bad light on all the decent, hardworking UPS workers across the country who take pride in their work and service. Hope that folks realize this was just ‘a few bad apples’ and that it doesn’t represent the vast majority of UPS workers out there.
