You are the first guitarplayer on RUclips who plays his guitar from the beginning. You don´t talk about 3 minutes and then take the guitar on your knee an talk again, till the first tone comes from one string. Your solos are so beautiful and with the tabs anyone, who can play a little blues on his guitar, will be able to learn a lot. It dosn´t matter how old he is. In 31 days I will be 80 jears old. 👍
Sign of a great player is when they make it look like they have all the time in the world I love seeing all these talented young players who sweep and can play so fast But this ? This is like the cream Thank you
I saw/heard BB three times while he was alive; you're close... About two thirds of the way through a longer version... he'd crank up the band a notch and do the slow burn; just hot enough that you could literally feel the heat; greatest live performer I've ever heard! No lie! RIP
Blues music is the staff of life. I could listen to Blues all night long no matter my mood. It can both rejuvenate me or relax me. No other genre of music does both for me. Thanks for the great music. I’ve played for quite a long time but spend too much time doodling and need to hunker down and get serious about developing my lead guitar skills. I can play all types of rhythm guitar but watching and listening to your posts has been giving me motivation so i thank you my new mentor. Take care. I’ll be looking for more inspiration. 😇🫵🙏🇺🇦🇺🇸🇮🇱🎸
In one word: Wow. This is some top notch playing. I've seen many guitar videos, But this is one of the very few that actually struck me. Hats off sir 👏
I discovered your work with this lesson an year ago and I thought it was great! Now I play that solo almost every day... congratulations, excellent job!!!
@@andyslabmusic Thanks Andy, I've learnt so much from this. Please could you explain how you do the xxx12 stab around the 50 second mark, as I can't seem to get the muting right.
Forse avrò già commentato tempo fa questo assolo, ma te lo dico lo stesso: mi viene difficile trovare così tanta espressività di suono in così pochi minuti!!! Grandissimo feeling, grande Andy!!!
All music is about dynamics, feel and attitude. Pentatonics are waste of time :) If you'll play 100 hours of pentatonics, you will be able to play pentatonics. If you will play 100 hours of blues you will play blues. The most stupid decision is to play 100hrs of pentatonics trying to get the blues :) Exercises are good and theory is amazing but they are boring (exercises) and uninspiring. The best way to kill a passion to play. To play music you have to play more music. Nor shortcuts neither workarounds here :)
@@SugarTouchI kinda hear what you are saying. It reminds me of my own approach. But exercising is useful. This fastest bas guitar guy from Durang Durang, 630 notes in a minute, so, when he is exercising, he showed to put the rubber band on the left hand between fingers to make them stronger.
I'm just months short of 70. Love good Blues. I am so old fashioned though... in some ways. Just bought a new Gretsch hollow electric, G5427TG in Midnight Sapphire. Love it! And the Gretsch sound. I read music... since starting at about age 11. But this may sound silly, I can not make heads nor tails out of TAB.
Once you figure it out, it’s leagues better for guitar than traditional sheet music. I’ve been playing for almost 20 years now, and I still remember struggling to learn tabs early on 😂
Thank You Andy, Finally a guitar lesson by a real player who gives a lesson without constantly babbling like the other jackasses showing 1 or 2 notes and then yakking BS for about 5 minutes until the next note and then babbling on 5 minutes more of BS again
Been watching all day bro. Some great skills you’re passing on there! So much easier for this generation to learn isn’t it? I’ve been a guitarist for over 25 years, I learned everything by ear, trial and error. They don’t know how lucky they are to have instruction this available and clear! Love your work man, appreciate what you do. - Australia.
Absolutly wonderful! True blues vibes here, for sure. I really love it and I'm now trying to reproduce this solo. Just a little suggestion: adding a countdown or an empty bar at the beginning can help people play along with you ;)
@@andyslabmusic Just a follow up for you. I took the month of July 2022 and slowly learned this solo. I now play it here in Central Texas for family and friends over a backing track and heads have turned wondering where it came from; so I tell them about your channel. You have a very good ear and excellent creative skills Andy, thanks again!
Hello. I'm Edu from Barcelona (Spain), I'm 65 years old and I'm studying blues guitar. I really like your videos, your classes and the licks. You are an extraordinary guitarist, with great technique and exquisite sensitivity. Thank you very much for your work and your classes. The world would be much better with more artists like you. I wish you much Health, happiness and many professional successes. Thank you very much. EDU (Barcelona SPAIN).
Hi Edu. My name is Janusz, I am 62 years old. I started to learn to play the guitar at the age of 50 and I am still learning. I am visiting Barcelona in a few days. (I arrive on May 3) I am staying in Barcelona for 10 days. Maybe we could meet somewhere and talk a bit about our playing and exchange ideas for further learning. I will have my Traveler Guitar with me :D It would be very nice to meet you.
Thank you immensely for this! This is going immediately to my to-do list! I know a lot of work waiting, but it will be worth! Many thanks for this masterpiece resonating with my soul! Soooo sweet!
I have the 'Faded Cherry' version which i believe has all the same hardware, i play it through a Blues Junior and it sounds absolutely beautiful, creamy with plenty of middley thump!😊

At 66, I am too young here😜😂💪
Not true. Activemelody perfected the RUclips tutorial almost 10 years ago
Big Bs , there are many more…
Totally agree
BB’s vibrato is unmatchable.
I'd give this ten thumbs up if I could

I love this stuff! I'm old, just started playing guitar after years of piano. This is inspiring to say the least!!
Same here, came from piano. Good luck!
You made Lucille sing beautifully. Bravo! Thank you.

Lovely touch and tone, showing the shredders what real playing is.
Every ‘shredder’ learned how to do this and got bored. You are not the arbiter of ‘real playing’
I guessed which lick this was before the video started. You played it so sweet I almost got diabetes. Respect.
Hahaha same it sounds very Freddy king and almost identical to whiskey drinkin blues by Andrew jr boy jones🔥
Aaaaaaàaaaah. You cannot have diabetes, and get pregnant from listening to the Slow Blues.
