I love how the killers were split by actual evil murderers and then killers by circumstance. Clown and Deathslinger being people who enjoyed tormenting vs killers like Spirit and Huntress, who either had one point of anger or a twisted upbringing, but no true malice
I like the idea of huntress being a good character in this situation but tbh it probably wouldn’t happen if you’re familiar with her backstory and additional stories she hunt people for fun not out of necessity and I doubt she would stop unless she bonded with one of the girls in the trial and saw them as a daughter. Most of the girls are too old to be her “child” tho and she usually kills anyone else that child is close to so it wouldn’t really matter all that much

I really love how you've taken the killers lore into consideration when you made this. Nurse, Spirit, wraith and Huntress turning on the entity was an amazing attention to detail. Absolutely remarkable!
And plague! From what I can take from her lore the entity tricked her into thinking that the entity was her god, so if she finds out she’s been tricked I doubt she’d be too pleased
Trapper is kind of in the middle tho he's tried to fight back before u can tell by the hooks on his back but would he dare try again now that more people are too?
The devs can barely keep the main game balanced, they are stuck in a viceous cycle of releasing content/updates every month because there is always something to fix/ theybneed to release more content to pay the bills. Sometimes like a story mode like this could take years of full commitment.
the whole thing is a masterpiece, but as an Elodie main, i really enjoy that shot of her and the doctor. Elodie has always gave me the ‘Final Girl’ feels and that moment captured it perfectly.
How huntress was holding Claudette, she got me emotional, not going to lie. The whole trailer is fantastic. If BHR ever does a story mode, the need to hire you like, omg.
According to lore, the Huntress always wanted a daughter. But the way she cradled Claudette’s body, she’s too old to be like a daughter to Anna, but possibly, Anna sees Claudette as a mother figure instead.
I appreciate the detail of not using any characters licensed from other properties, just like they wouldn't be able to if they really did make something like this
Sorry to revive an old comment, but I bet we see at least a few licenses in the movie, since it’s such a big part of DBD. I’d be really shocked if Nic Cage doesn’t cameo. And with James Wan working on the movie, I bet we see Amanda or at least some hint at Saw.
@NicxCoay It would be really cool to have licensed character cameos or at least references in the movie, but getting the rights to use them in other media might be tricky (with the obvious exception of Nic Cage who could just agree to take part on his own). Casting of Frank Stone didn't have any cameos for that reason I'm assuming. From another angle, if DBD's going to try to branch out to other media like film or TV, they may want to establish the IPs merit with their own original characters rather than leaning on crossovers.

A silhouette of Myers in the distance doing his Mori or a just like an abandoned reverse bear trap in a corner. Just hints to what the fans know. An Ash cameo would be really fun, too. Idk. Also if Nic Cage could appear, do his goofy scene partner thing, and just die instantly that would be so funny. :) But idk, anything works for me. I love DBD’s lore, just like some hints to other fan favorites.
I think they are not even bothered to take part in this "war". The Entity gave Charlotte her brother back, but at the same time, both of them were never aggressive, and I like to think that Victor wasn't exactly like the Entity gave him back to Charlotte (maybe calmer, like his sister seems to be). So, she has a reason to NOT go against the Entity, after all, she got Victor back, but she is now forced to kill, so she might also have a reason to not go WITH the Entity. So, they chill in the sewers lol
I think it was meant to represent them waiting for the survivors within the trials. But they’re not there they’re trying to escape with other killers. I’m saying that based on the fact Hag and Twin seemed to have been looking around confusingly

In Identity 5. Theres a mode where in you fight another team of 3 survivors and 1 killer each team. The survivors has 1 captain and the killera can revive ally survivors. The goal is to offer the captain first. So basically as a knight you take blows for the captain or heal them asap. You can also win after finishing the generators and getting out on one gate.. You can only unlock one gate out of two.

Actually, now I think about it. What if he's got fixed and realized that he's been killing the wrong people and felt betrayed, so he switched sides, but not everyone trusted him until he proves his worth

This is absolutely mindblowing! Your visual story telling and attention to detail are just so good, and I just can’t help but want more! I love the little nod at the end towards your “The Last Chapter” and it shows how far you’ve come and it makes me wonder if it’s connected somehow too. Also “Ariana Visconti”? The nod towards the cards Baker makes? Chilling. Makes me wonder if Ace’s absence was a conscious choice you made. There’s just so much potential with this whole concept that’s gonna keep pulling me back to watch this again and again.
I'm glad to have seen someone else mention Ace's absnece! I was kinda bummed because he's my favourite and I was hoping to see him, but the whole video was too amazing to be sad for long. Like... holy shit. I'm upset that this isn't what we got lmao, this whole video is better than any of the lore or "trailers" that DBD actually has given and I'm just sitting here wishing there was more of this!
Also it reminded me of games like Until Dawn and Last Hope which honestly, if DBD (or I guess BD) were to be made ever in some imaginary world, I'd probably want the company that created those games to make it.
Usually I don't really like this stereotypical idea of "The Hero emerges and chances the impossible" but this trailer mixed with the unique but at the same time not entire implausible concept of DbD's Entity makes me really dig this. Now I'm upset that there more than likely will never actually be such a show
You never know. League of legends never seemed like the type of game to ever make a anime or show. But Arcane is coming some time this month if memory serves. If league can do it maybe dead by daylight can too some day.
Amazing work ! The scene with the Entity are really scary. Also I never thought the Doctor would been so terrifing, his presnce is as beautiful as nerve racking.
Damn Dark Hood... I'm speechless, this is absolutely incredible. At first, the lighting, colours, scenes, camera angles and movements are so well done, you definitely have great skills to make those. Transitions are astonishing, everything is so creative and original, it really feels like this trailer is from a full and complete movie. Let's not forget the magnificent voice acting on those very cleverly written lines and the beautiful music that really fits with the video. (Also I loved the reference to The Wanderer above the Sea of Fog painting, it really fits with the "Fog" part of dbd and how deep the lore is, like the "Sea of Fog", related to what Benedict Baker said in the video). Congratulations Dark Hood, this animation is fantastic. And it wouldn't have been that good without Jon Rob, Jay The Bard and Miss Shellah.
I got massive goosebumps when the killers were saving the survivors and even sacrificed themselves for them...Also David fighting off the killers courageously is close to his lore too! Holy cow, this has massive potential. I would love to see this being made into a real series! Well done. I will share this ASAP.
If they do something like this in the movie i would love to see them take a piece of the entity touched eyes theory. Deathslinger enjoyed torturing criminals but respected innocents. In his lore the entity makes him see the people who wronged him, maybe like a bunch of killers have to reveal the survivors to him to gain him as an ally

What an incredible video and kind of art! Amazing type of storytelling, animations and i LOVED how some killers where actual "monsters" and some of them felt like they were not or even kind of human. My heart melt when i saw the nurse and spirit saved the survs! Amazing idea to flash out these differences of the killers. I would LOVE to see more of these videos. I would have so much passion for this game again, if the devs would put that much input in their game. THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing me why i loved this game for such a long time back then.
Yes seeing the killers split into different groups was fantastic. Those that are human at their core and those that are not. The art, sound, the littlest details made this shine. Also just watching David and Nea finally beat the hell out of Legion is all I ever really wanted lol. I wish they'd give Dark a place at the writers table...or maybe just the entire writers table and everyone else can take a hike lol.
Seeing the survivors fighting back and seeing the muscle train that is David fight is perfection. Awell some of the killers that were more lured into the fog fighting back.
Recently found this absolute gem. I've played DBD for almost a year now and this gave me so many emotions in only 7 minutes. One of the best fanmade videos of anything I've ever seen. This would make a wonder movie or series. You also pay a good amount of attention to detail which is nice. I hope to see more projects
I love the idea that some killers would also be trying to escape this limbo they’re stuck in. Also, big fan of actually seeing multiple Legion fighting at once, since we can’t see that in the game.
Holy cow i was expecting a fun short vid but wow. I’m blown away at the dedication and effort put into this. I genuinely enjoyed every second of this trailer, and there were many twists that surprised me. I love the concept of killers seeking redemption and showing empathy to survivors like the wraith and the nurse, as well as the terrifying visuals of merciless killers like doctor or clown. This is a masterpiece, I applaud your dedication to this project.
Imagin thats the end game where everybody is getting sick of doing the same things for years (fixing or hooking) and try to escape the entity but some of the killers won't let that happen And some survivor or killer might not survive
Watch, the devs are gonna see this and use it in one of their streams. For this kind of animation, I'd at least say this dude deserves SOME type of reward. Just dunno what.
I like the idea that some killers would help the survivors (since they are not completely evil) and others out of the simple desire to kill would hunt down even the other killers! I loved seeing Huntress, Nurse, Trapper, Wraith and Spirit helping the survivors.

Revisiting this fan-made video now knowing that Blumhouse Productions is gonna be making a Dead By Daylight movie. I am so hyped to see the story and universe of Dead By Daylight finally be told on the big screen!
This is by far the coolest SFM thing I have ever seen. I wish BHVR looked at you and your work, especially this, in inspiration for their lore area. I've always been a huge lore nerd for many games but BHVR does barely anything to incorporate their lore w/ gameplay and a lot of the lore doesn't make sense, whether that be translation issues, etc. It feels rather meaningless, really. Even Apex does a better job and it's a BR. If this trailer was 100% lore-friendly and BHVR did anything like this, I would be obsessed w/ their lore. GOOD STUFF. Wish they added a character into the game that had this type of backstory of almost being pulled in by the entity and making it her mission to help and save them.
Now that the DBD movie is officially in the works wirh the screenwriter and director needing to be found, I wish they'd take a look at this xD maybe even gather fan ideas. Dbd has alot of lore xD

A dream where you find yourself facing killers in another world. And you were not alone, others who has the same hallucinations of the other side. Now they must band together to find a way out and discover the secret of the dark realm before it can merge into theirs. To stop it, they must find the history of the killers’ past and way to defeat them.

My favorite scenes were Wraith fighting off the Entity with Nea trying to go back for him and Nurse and Spirit saving the survivors.

Damn Dark Hood... I'm speechless, this is absolutely incredible. At first, the lighting, colours, scenes, camera angles and movements are so well done, you definitely have great skills to make those. Transitions are astonishing, everything is so creative and original, it really feels like this trailer is from a full and complete movie. Let's not forget the magnificent voice acting on those very cleverly written lines and the beautiful music that really fits with the video. (Also I loved the reference to The Wanderer above the Sea of Fog painting, it really fits with the "Fog" part of dbd and how deep the lore is, like the "Sea of Fog", related to what Benedict Baker said in the video). Congratulations Dark Hood, this animation is fantastic. And it wouldn't have been that good without Jon Rob, Jay The Bard and Miss Shellah.

I like how it pinned the old killers as protectors of the survivors and the new ones on the side of the entity! This was so cool to watch!!!
I got massive goosebumps when the killers were saving the survivors and even sacrificed themselves for them...Also David fighting off the killers courageously is close to his lore too! Holy cow, this has massive potential. I would love to see this being made into a real series!

If they do something like this in the movie i would love to see them take a piece of the entity touched eyes theory. Deathslinger enjoyed torturing criminals but respected innocents. In his lore the entity makes him see the people who wronged him, maybe like a bunch of killers have to reveal the survivors to him to gain him as an ally

What an incredible video and kind of art! Amazing type of storytelling, animations and i LOVED how some killers where actual "monsters" and some of them felt like they were not or even kind of human. My heart melt when i saw the nurse and spirit saved the survs! Amazing idea to flash out these differences of the killers. I would LOVE to see more of these videos. I would have so much passion for this game again, if the devs would put that much input in their game.

Yes seeing the killers split into different groups was fantastic. Those that are human at their core and those that are not. The art, sound, the littlest details made this shine. Also just watching David and Nea finally beat the hell out of Legion is all I ever really wanted lol. I wish they'd give Dark a place at the writers table...or maybe just the entire writers table and everyone else can take a hike lol.

Seeing the survivors fighting back and seeing the muscle train that is David fight is perfection. Awell some of the killers that were more lured into the fog fighting back.

Recently found this absolute gem. I've played DBD for almost a year now and this gave me so many emotions in only 7 minutes. One of the best fanmade videos of anything I've ever seen. This would make a wonder movie or series. You also pay a good amount of attention to detail which is nice. I hope to see more projects

I love the idea that some killers would also be trying to escape this limbo they’re stuck in. Also, big fan of actually seeing multiple Legion fighting at once, since we can’t see that in the game.

Holy cow i was expecting a fun short vid but wow. I’m blown away at the dedication and effort put into this. I genuinely enjoyed every second of this trailer, and there were many twists that surprised me. I love the concept of killers seeking redemption and showing empathy to survivors like the wraith and the nurse, as well as the terrifying visuals of merciless killers like doctor or clown. This is a masterpiece, I applaud your dedication to this project.

Imagin thats the end game where everybody is getting sick of doing the same things for years (fixing or hooking) and try to escape the entity but some of the killers won't let that happen
And some survivor or killer might not survive
Watch, the devs are gonna see this and use it in one of their streams. For this kind of animation, I'd at least say this dude deserves SOME type of reward. Just dunno what.
I like the idea that some killers would help the survivors (since they are not completely evil) and others out of the simple desire to kill would hunt down even the other killers! I loved seeing Huntress, Nurse, Trapper, Wraith and Spirit helping the survivors.
This has to be the greatest Dead by Daylight related thing I have ever seen! I adore your videos, but this is a whole new level of brilliance! The time this must have taken!

This is by far the coolest SFM thing I have ever seen. I wish BHVR looked at you and your work, especially this, in inspiration for their lore area. I've always been a huge lore nerd for many games but BHVR does barely anything to incorporate their lore w/ gameplay and a lot of the lore doesn't make sense, whether that be translation issues, etc. It feels rather meaningless, really. Even Apex does a better job and it's a BR. If this trailer was 100% lore-friendly and BHVR did anything like this, I would be obsessed w/ their lore. GOOD STUFF. Wish they added a character into the game that had this type of backstory of almost being pulled in by the entity and making it her mission to help and save them.
Now that the DBD movie is officially in the works wirh the screenwriter and director needing to be found, I wish they'd take a look at this xD maybe even gather fan ideas. Dbd has alot of lore xD
