Grasslands honestly had an end they did not deserve. Their only fault was not being as aggressive as the others and wanting to be at peace. Attacking them was an exercise in gratuitous violence. May they rest in peace.

Many of these gaming player simulator civilizations and gaming machinimas should be considered having many more academy awards for having phenomenon storylines, greatest world building, epic music scores, awesome special effects and amazing player characters (who are either the hero and/or villain) who lead their own teams and factions either through diplomatic or war even having an big influence and impact including having their own unique factions choosing them either though self proclaimed, democratic or authoritarian means, they are leading their own factions who are struggling with hardships and challenges with their own choice by having to ally with a certain faction or go to to war against an faction. Both sides have a different level of ideology but they would put aside their petty differences to fight against common enemy. It doing kind of reminds me of our own history and the modern day world.

Another absolute banger. I can't even say enough about how great this video was. The action, the factions, the politics, the drama, the animations, the cinematics, the amazing editing, the amazing and entirely organic, player driven plot. This is so freaking good, literally better than 99% of movies in the last several years. Far more intriguing and captivating than anything i've seen on regular TV. This is a masterpiece. You should be proud of yourself for organizing and documenting this. You could genuinely write an entire essay on the political dynamics between all the major factions in the regions. The quality here is unreal. Seriously, 10/10.
I lived in the grass! Was part of the whispering choir, which was essentially people who are good at art/painting in rust. Was super fun, sad when watching our art die out in front of my eyes but it was a cool event!
You could tell horsegang and their allies (not OT or IK) were the most organized groups off the bat based solely on their coordination during the battles. Also, Grass was doomed to fail because RPers are undisciplined PvPers.
I love these Civilization vids soo much. I know it takes months to prep, film, compile narratives and edit them all into a cohesive story. But I watch and rewatch these just like Hollywood movies! Thank you and everyone who participated for this unique form of entertainment

I thought the grasslands handled Max and Borok wrong. They could have agreed to pay Borok directly from the grasslands leadership instead of going around harassing everyone. Why? To become basically a hired crew that isn't scared to do the dirty work of the community lol. With what they lost in the conflict and having a constant enemy, the cost of just paying him to go collect taxes from the snow region or something lol

Great Video, it was a Pleasure leading Bambozzini with my Second in Command Silent Bambozzini. The Last raid was around 60 V 300 right before the final bomb and was easily the most crazy experience i've had in all of rust. Galactic Horse Gang were great allies and we always abide by our dealing and struck down OT / Brazil for their Betrayal of the Snow.

Well, I discovered the Rust civ videos during a binge of civ videos in general and watched both the 3k civ event and this event on the same day. This series is truly dramatic and deserves widespread praise. I absolutely loved this, and I hope for many more of these videos to come. I don't think I've ever appreciated a video on civilization as much as this one.

He wasn't questioning the grasslands needing a leader. He just wanted proof of Keep's ability before he pledged allegience, but got shot in the head instead

@@Terrapin-gw6bb Tbf to Grass I don't think they ever thought they'd be in the situation of having to fight a full scale war. None of the groups had any advanced pvpers unlike both Desert and Snow so I suppose they probably weren't prepared to deal with a threat of that scale.

I’m kinda disappointed with the triangle alliance. They had a huge player advantage but didn’t really do anything in the end game. Failed to secure the bomb and failed their naval raid. And they didn’t face any consequences
Bro had they no supported max, but trade with the grasslands for protections, they would have been the strongest coalitions, but the Forefathers was stupid and make a really dumb decision when they accepted Max, had they grew coalition with the grass and then surveil OT and Brazil, they woulda kick Horse Gang’s easily and kept the peace and unity of the whole server, with people who builds and actually be civilized.

Man the grasslands are basically like Star wars triology but with a bad ending like that all of them came when they heard the hotel was being attacked and actually unite for greater good just to lose in the end but die with honor as they lived with Glory and essentially go down with the ship was TRAGIC just the whole Grassland Story is Tragic of people not being able to come together but overcoming that to still lose but as a Team a United force is just a masterpiece of Cinema...
I def feel like it wasn't just about strenght, they just didn't have the orginization like the other two regions but especially after the final fight they didn't have enough numbers with how many gave up

Honestly my opinion is that the grassland couldn't win. As said in the video grassland was largely rpers, new players, people who didn't have much skill with pvp, with organization it could have gone a little better. However, snow was on the defense not to mention seeming to have more skill in pvp of each individual member. But I was rooting for grass since day 1 all the way to day 3. I'm a sucker for a good underdog even if they didn't win.
yeah once the bomb was announced the grass was basically doomed. they had close to zero chance of getting the bomb for themselves, the desert was obviously going to target them, and the snow randomly was unanimously against them too(?). Their only shot was to win over the snow or hope that the snow rebellion could pull it out somehow. I'm not sure why the snow was against the grass instead of the desert, outside of maybe being annoyed with them for losing the raid on Max? I guess Rust players just hate RPers

Keep's may not have been the best leader but he was a leader, he held his ground even when his community was crumbling. Even with a persistent perpetrator Keep's led the grasslands all the way to the end of the event. Regardless of his methods he was the leader of the grass. This is incredible. Three differant societies formed in unique and facisinating ways. One society formed by simply following the example of others and forming a strong united republic. Another born of fuedalistic power, three factions rose, conquered their respective areas and united for total world domination. And a third in which a dictatorship grew from one group who quickly gathered resources and used them to elimante another for truely benevolent reasons, but with their new found power came influence, and eventually a hunger for more. You could write a paper about this shit.

Horse gang bearing the capability of completely wiping out a clan while simultaneously repelling an attack from two other heavily armed teams (One is the best team on rust) and taking minimal losses compared to the others is crazy work to me.
I'm only at 1:32:27, but did nobody realize that this is like that scene from the Dark Knight where Joker gives the detonator to the bomb to the two ships and NEITHER blows each other up, because we're ALL HUMAN in the end.
This video was epic! I'll say that my favorite player was Max Mears, his whole story was fun. My favorite civilizations were Horse Gang and Brazil (that air force tho), both of them were cool. Borok was hilarious AF 😂
We lived in the grass on this event and when we knew the grasslands was getting nuked, we moved out to sea and built up from the seabed and made a base out there. All our loot and team survived until the end of the event :)
Keep, you started as a shady business man doing side-deals, to becoming the leader of the grasslands and charging into the snow with all your soldiers. Such a great story, the grass needed a hero like you

Damn, desert alliance had a great plan for the island assault, defensive guard, with a larger ground assault force. Just lack of security in the building turned the tide. The air force from snow was a great strategy!
Imagine having a concert and jamming to good tunes and then just above you a battle that could decide the fate of the WORLD is happening just up the hill where you are from.
Max was actually right from the beginning. If you remember he had said that he hadn't seen any of the leaders before. Which means that he didn't even really know who Keep was. It was only logical for him to say that he had to see for himself the leadership qualities Keep had. That was only fair for him to say. I don't think Keep had a reason to take out Max.
Never in my entire life watched a youtube video for 2hrs straight. Man props for the efforts that was put in this video. One of the best videos I have ever watched here on youtube.
Now here is an idea. make 1000-3000 players simulate medival civilization, and make them build medival castles ect. It would be so awesome to see 500 players charge on horseback while using swords spears and bows
I really would like to see a hero-arc of the farmers characters. Like consider the grass were demoralized and defeated and a few went to continue to the fight only to be joined by raging farmers desperate to win by necessity to turn the tide of the war. And the characters of the farmers go from the kindred spirits to blood thirsty PVPers. That would be a nice story line.
This video made me very emotional I’m not sure why but it did. I really needed that cry session as men we are seen as vulnerable because of emotion. Just know that even the smallest things can make the biggest difference.

Another incredible video… but another depressing story of the victory of tyrants and dictators. I was really rooting for the Brazilians and OT Snow Rebellion kamakaze self destruct. That would have been a truly epic and just end, leaving the peaceful grasspeople to continue living their happy lives…the only victims of this were the innocent. Thanks a lot Max! I felt the rails on this one a bit more than the 3,000 player one, and the storyline and scripted scenes and characters were more obvious, but that didn’t lessen my enjoyment at all. Well done to all involved-from your newest subscriber.
Great video Fancy. I had alot of fun being in this event. From leading a group in the desert, to joining the desert alliance, and later on the grass alliance when we moved there. Looking forward to Global Warfare 2!

Man the grasslands are basically like Star wars triology but with a bad ending like that all of them came when they heard the hotel was being attacked and actually unite for greater good just to lose in the end but die with honor as they lived with Glory and essentially go down with the ship was TRAGIC just the whole Grassland Story is Tragic of people not being able to come together but overcoming that to still lose but as a Team a United force is just a masterpiece of Cinema...
I def feel like it wasn't just about strenght, they just didn't have the orginization like the other two regions but especially after the final fight they didn't have enough numbers with how many gave up

Honestly my opinion is that the grassland couldn't win. As said in the video grassland was largely rpers, new players, people who didn't have much skill with pvp, with organization it could have gone a little better. However, snow was on the defense not to mention seeming to have more skill in pvp of each individual member.
But I was rooting for grass since day 1 all the way to day 3. I'm a sucker for a good underdog even if they didn't win.
yeah once the bomb was announced the grass was basically doomed. they had close to zero chance of getting the bomb for themselves, the desert was obviously going to target them, and the snow randomly was unanimously against them too(?). Their only shot was to win over the snow or hope that the snow rebellion could pull it out somehow. I'm not sure why the snow was against the grass instead of the desert, outside of maybe being annoyed with them for losing the raid on Max? I guess Rust players just hate RPers

Keep's may not have been the best leader but he was a leader, he held his ground even when his community was crumbling. Even with a persistent perpetrator Keep's led the grasslands all the way to the end of the event. Regardless of his methods he was the leader of the grass. Keep's is my undeniable goat for this event. LONG LIVE THE GRASS
True bruh, the grasslands was one of the best organized civilized civilizations, for not a killer IRS man, and the Griefer in the cloak of victims, they woulda been a strong coalition to Dessert Island or Horse Gang/ Bambizino.

Horse gang bearing the capability of completely wiping out a clan while simultaneously repelling an attack from two other heavily armed teams (One is the best team on rust) and taking minimal losses compared to the others is crazy work to me.

We lived in the grass on this event and when we knew the grasslands was getting nuked, we moved out to sea and built up from the seabed and made a base out there.

Damn, desert alliance had a great plan for the island assault, defensive guard, with a larger ground assault force. Just lack of security in the building turned the tide. The air force from snow was a great strategy!

Max was actually right from the beginning. If you remember he had said that he hadn't seen any of the leaders before. Which means that he didn't even really know who Keep was. It was only logical for him to say that he had to see for himself the leadership qualities Keep had. That was only fair for him to say. I don't think Keep had a reason to take out Max.
This event should actually be a game mode within rust.

I really would like to see a hero-arc of the farmers characters. Like consider the grass were demoralized and defeated and a few went to continue to the fight only to be joined by raging farmers desperate to win by necessity to turn the tide of the war. And the characters of the farmers go from the kindred spirits to blood thirsty PVPers. That would be a nice story line.
