With the #amplug Brian May guitar headphone amplifier, you can get the legendary guitarist’s classic tone anytime, anywhere - through any set of standard headphones.
Designed to recreate the unique sound of Brian’s Red Special and cranked #ac30 signal chain (and not to forget the sixpence), our mission with this very special edition of the amPlug was to make Brian’s instantly recognisable tone accessible to all.
With the amPlug’s AC30 + Treble Booster setting, and three onboard effects (“Brighton Rock” delay, phaser and chorus) inspired by Brian, the amPlug Brian May is literally “the Brian May tone in the palm of your hand”.
But the amPlug Brian May goes further than delivering on tone. Featuring a range of backing rhythms, including the “We Will Rock You” stomps and claps, you can jam along to classic tracks in your headphones.

These have been around for a long time... Vox basically paid Brian may to slap his name on this and hopefully sell a few 1000 just for that. It's cool.... But eh kinda pointless product with the better options out there like boss katana air

@@jmabs5096 except it's $50 and fits in your pocket while the Katana is $200 and does not. Certainly *not* pointless. I have a Vox amp *and* two Vox amPlugs for when I wanna play quietly (like late at night). I'd recommend them to my friends if I had any 😂

@@Memu_it is the original. Just before Brian says 'the basic settings', you'll catch a glimpse of the headstock, on which is a sixpence coin. Brian put the sixpence on the headstock, so that people would know he was playing the original. The guitar looks in good condition because it went through its 3rd restoration back in 2016. New veneer tops were placed on the guitar, a new zero fret, new tuners, a new cable jack and fretboard damage all restored too
@@davebain1982 Still this doesn't look like the original. The higher end replicas also have the coin I'm pretty sure. Also Brian always used gold strings on his guitar.

I love vox. My first amp was the modeler Vt20x. I really had no idea what I was doing when I first got it but I used the app and had some fun. Now I use only when I need an amp the Super Beetle Mini. That is a creamy sounding amp if you like break up blues but also add chorus and some drive in front with some delay and reverb you have a Gilmour tone. Hahah that could be any amp. I love it. They are deceiving loud!!

I received my AmPlug BM today, and it's simply Bri-lliant...
The green channel is already as nice and chimy as you'd expect, but that red channel is phenomenal - especially when using the onboard effects! 👍
Best to use singlecoil pickups, I think - humbuckers might be too muddy if they're too hot.
I couldn't help laughing out loud (always weird to others when you're on headphones 🤣🤣) when I heard thát We Will Rock You rhythm... 🤣🤣👍 And the Brighton Rock delays, phaser, chorus... All those are really well done & useful. Not just to 'sound like' but also to get them inspirational juices flowing!

Too bad you guys didn't make enough of the speakers to go with the plug in! It came out and disappeared quickly in limited quantity 😵 same with the mv50. I had to purchase the head without the color matching brian may 1x8 speakers. Sad - someone at @vox was shortsighted and didn't build enough units imo
How do you play the guitar along to a song through the same set of headphones? As in you can hear your guitar as well as like a Rolling Stones song all through the same headphones?

I must say.... It sounds GREAT. But then again, we all heard it for ONE MINUTE... Max. Sooo, Would I, & many pro players "Get Off" playing it. For hours on end ?? LIKE ooh so many amps. I truly don't know. Hopefully it's not another "Rockman" situation.
In the 90's, Vox made a limited run of, A Subposedly EXACT Replica of the Deacon circuit, ( Yes, "That sound " in a small white Amp. ) This sounds better. I believe it was Mut Lange. ( Sorry to Butcher his name) Who had an EXACT Clone, built in an old HI Fi, speaker. Even had the odd brit battery. & had "That" Sound of an AC 30 About to blow up ! He called IT " MR Balls" I played it till the battery died on the beach. ( That was in the early 80's) Never saw another. I would buy this just for that sound !!
That and the fact he's playing his home built guitar, LOL

I don't know how they are nowadays but I bought the bass version years ago and it was pretty terrible, the build quality was like some homemade diy project and the sound was awful even just for practice, if that's anything to go by then this is pure marketing BS
