I’m so glad you started talking about the forgotten black brands. I think another issue is that black youtubers are the main users of black owned makeup companies. Even though their products are versatile enough for non black people to use.
So glad you made this series!

Queade Norah Yes, thank you! And I agree. I want to expand on that point in another video, because there is such an imbalance across the board and it shouldn’t just be on the shoulders of black people to solely be the ones uplifting the black community (and all of its endeavors) when we already support and uplift every other community.

Beautiful look as always! It's sad that it took BLM for more POC brands to receive the spotlight they deserve, especially indie brands. Thank you for sharing your insights about how we as consumers can support POC brands 🙏🏽

Thanks for watching, Tan. And yeah, it’s honestly a little heartbreaking that people only care when it reaches such a heightened level but then it dies back down. I think we really need to make tangible and long lasting change.

The One & Only S_Hutchinson 3 I’ve been hearing more and more people say that, and I really admire it. I’m still purchasing from other brands, but I actively seek out and make sure to support and promote black. It’s honestly just vital at this point. And thanks so much for watching, Queen 💕
