@saxon priest If you pay attention, I stated Jay Azzolina was in the band in 1989, Julio left the band then came back, so he could hardly have been in the band in the year I mentioned.
Richie Morales left in early 1991 and was replaced by Joel Rosenblatt on drums, Oscar Cartaya left later in 1991 and was replaced by Scott Ambush on bass.
Great tune, and great band composition back then, but the video filming was atrocious. Even though they had a videographer literally **on the stage** filming Dave Samuels, the end product was as if he didn't even exist. They filmed Richie Morales' drum cymbals more than they filmed Dave, and I will NEVER understand the point of filming musicians' backs..
Here in july 2020 anybody else?

August 2020. Still groovin'

Bro🙏🏾
Man, that`s punchy. The kids weren`t kidding at all. That`s all about energy and talent.
Spyro Gyra is still so badass!
The studio recording of “Fairweather” is from the band’s 1989 album “Point of View” of which I still have a CD!
Me too! 👍
I still have the vinyl🙌🏾
And Dave Samuels also amazing on mallet triggered instruments. All such talented musicians.

I like azzolina better than Julio sorry Spyro fans.
That’s Jay Azzolina on elec. guitar! Great solo!
Freaking awesome. :)
6:24 no importa cuantas veces lo escuche, adoro este solo
Great 😎
Showw😃👏👏👏👏
question: wasn't bassist kim stone with the band before joining the rippingtons and what years did kim play for spyro gyra? thanks
Kim played from '83 to '87 before joining the Ripps
@@Schumanized chet catello's shredding guitar solo gave me goose bumps
Jay Azzolina was a great blend with this band. I wish it would have lasted longer.
Indeed, but Julio brought the latin jazz element to the band.
He (Jay Azzolina) is much, much more suited to the overall Spyro style than Julio could ever be. What a pity his stint was short-lived.
😊🙏🏽👍🏾
"JAZZ LEGENDS" (SG)! *MIKE SPENCE!
Has Chet left by '89?
Peter Fulton Chet left in 82
@@Schumanized thanks
Chet left in '84
What Is the name of the guitar player?
Jay Azzolina on guitar in 1989, he was replaced by Julio Fernandez who is still in the band today.
Despite his pale green guitar, his performance is ineffable! Pure energy, man!

@saxon priest Who cares dude, are you OCD or something?
@saxon priest hey dumb dumb, you messaged me, so please don't bother me anymore with your childish bullshit, or I will report you to RUclips.
whos on drums?
Richie
Morales
Ritchie Morales...
What ever happened to Ritchie Morales and the bass player?
Richie Morales left in early 1991 and was replaced by Joel Rosenblatt on drums, Oscar Cartaya left later in 1991 and was replaced by Scott Ambush on bass.
Robert Rice thks! I wonder why. They were both great. After spyro gyra, i didnt see more of R. Morales.
@@MyTEEsharp1 I believe Richie went on to play with Al Di Meola
Portoricam Oscar Cartaya is still going strong.
Accidental fall from a New York high rise. Very bad event and unfortunate...

One of Tom's finest. An homage to Weather Report.
In the dictionary under the word tight? There needs to be a picture of these kick ass players!
