    When you use the actual pages from the original book, esp. one page, how do you attach it at the inside spine?

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  8 лет назад

      +Susan Hill Well these were double pages, so they were just sewn in but in the case of single pages, I glue a strip of paper at the middle, or use washi tape to create a double page.

    Can you show us how you take apart the book from when you purchase it. Forgive me, I'm a newbie to all of this and I'm lost......These are gorgeous!! Are you going to be making any more? I see they are sold out of your Etsy shop...

    Hi Debbie, do you have issues with coffee staining your graph and writing papers with the blue ink smearing? I spritz mine and then use my blow dryer but it continue to run and smear... Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.... Carrie

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  9 лет назад

      My graph and lined paper inks run too...but I like the marbled result of the blue mixed with the coffee. If you're trying to preserve the lines for writing, I'd suggest 'flicking' some coffee with your fingers so that you only get a flew blotches here and there that smear. It would look aged but still linear. Have fun!

    Hola, Ephemera's. Quiero decirte que me encantan tus trabajos, y trato de imitarlos, claro que con mis recortes, mis revistas, mis viejos libros. Has hecho que vuelva a mi niñez pegando, pintando, juntando recortes. Gracias por eso, te envío cariños desde Argentina!

    Hi Debbie, I've been one of your subbies for quite a while and have very much enjoyed your videos. I recently was asked a question about copyright infringement. I was cutting out images from an old fairy tale book and putting them in one of my junk journals. Do you know the rules or can you direct me to where I might learn a little bit more about using images and actual torn out pages for journals that I'm going to sell? Thank you. Monica

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  9 лет назад

      Hi Monica, the best place to start is to look up the term 'public domain' online and get familiar with was is considered to be copyright free, and then perhaps it will help you to know what you can or shouldn't use in items for sale. Good luck! :)

    TOTALLY COOL JOURNAL DEB! Great job and luv the novel book covers. I am so addicted to coffee staining, but haven't tried it on the pattern paper yet, so thanks for mentioning that! Cheers! xo

    Hey there can I ask how you bind your signatures to the covers? I have only seen where people sew them in but that means putting holes in the spines and yours dont have those. also how much do you charge for a custom journal? I have an idea for one but I do not own the supplies like inks and the emephera and stuff to make one.

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  9 лет назад

      Hi, I sew the signatures to a spine which is then secured to the book cover. I don't take custom requests at this time but I do create journals on a regular basis that I list in my Etsy shop. Thanks for watching!

    I just love the junk journals you made and would like to try that. I learned from you the binding method, but I don't know how to attach them to the book covers. Would you let me know how I can find out how you did that. I am sure you have a video, but for some reason, I can't find it. Thanks in advance. Anne

    can hot glue be used to adhere the signatures to the spine/cover?

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  9 лет назад

      Probably. The only issue is that hot glue dries hard so you might feel the bumps through the spine.
