good sport man. I agree this strat is deadly in low leagues. I dont think everyone will still be able to copy what beasty did but its great he reveals that the game has the tools available for you to counter your crazy strategy.

I'm 50 freaking 2 - haven't played since -99. I haven't even a comp that can play. But - I bet 100 dollars you can't bet even me. If I get some hours under the belt ❤ Maybe qt could coach some hours, not much I'm sure.

I know this is a joke but I think Beasty once explained that HRE would always get or a 2nd or even a 3rd scout just because securing a decent count of sheeps is very important.
I literally watched this video this morning, and played a game on Dry Arabia as the Delhi. I was versing the English and saw he was on early deer and thought how it can't be possible😂 Just thought to myself, what would Beasty do. Aged up to the 3rd age, made springalds and knights and after his push wasn't successful he surrendered!!! BIG W!!! THANKS BEASTY!!!
This guy is a good player that found a cheese strat to exploit players playing the guide and not playing the game. Well done.

Its a great video, for the white tower, but more even for all the basic opening of the civs, beasty should do a compilation of all the openings.
The best counter is pick Mongol and wait until is near to finish. Move all your buildings, except ovoo and maybe should be depleted until that occurs
Spam of Keshik and just a pair of archers or spears to craft a pair of rams and bye english
Just to put it out there I enjoyed the content created by the nameless guy & I think the point he was making with English tower has been proven, I also appreciate beasty for getting involved with how much he contribute to the community of this game.
If beasty was letting the nameless guy put the tower down anywhere, he should've put it down to cover beauty's & gold vein as well. I was a lurker disappointed with the tower placement
I don't think it matters if he put it on beastyqt gold he would just leave to go to a different gold
... His point is that this strat is OP and needs a nerf. Beasty's point is that it's not and it's actually a shitty strat. This was vastly demonstrated during the video. If anything, the nameless guy's point was disproven. It's a bad strat.
HRE has to tower the gold, especially vs English. He didn't want to lose that many vils while building
This strategy might work as a bait. You lure enemy vills by trying to white tower rush with at least 10 vills (one shot). But when enemy vills come, you delete your landmark and just kill a vill or two. Then enemy goes back. Then repeat. You won't lose resources if there is no damage done to landmark. And enemy has a lot of idle time too. That would be nice to see!

For context, a good way to put yourself in a pretty good spot in any RTS game is simply following and executing your own build.
That's it.
You ain't gonna go pro as you need to be flexible and adaptable enough for that to work but you will get to conqueror pretty consistently.
1. Pick a civ you like
2. Watch a build order of the civ you picked - a safe standard build order done by a decent player not a 3 TC dark age to wonder one done by a troll
3. Play against easy AI, but not to beat the AI, but just to match your build timings as close to the build order you watched as possible
4. Of course use scout to look for sheep like everyone but don't bother scouting the enemy at this time; We do not care what their build is, we do our one build so scouting is useless for now
5. Repeat until you can get your build almost automatically; Start on one map and get comfortable doing your build on that map before doing a second map
Once you can follow and execute the build in your sleep and every villager popping out of the TC you already have that villagers entire life planned and queued up, go test your build on a real person.
Will you win 100% of the time, no. But you will win more than you will lose and so you will climb the ladder until conqueror.
A build optimized and proven by other folks who put in tons and tons of hours testing it will guarantee you have a better spot than your opponent if you just follow the build.
Funny how this applies to a lot of other video game genres as well, from card games to even fighting games. People just focus too much on other aspects of the game when it’s all about keeping it simple.

It can maybe lead you to gold/plat if you do it but higher than that you need to all these other skills that a good build doesn't teach you like micro and late game play.

Even in chess, I heard about a complete novice and within a year got to 1950 elo. All because the dude spammed the cow opening in chess and it is all the guy uses.
With a good foundation of an opening, he gradually kept building on working on the next moves of the middle game. Partnered with doing chess puzzles on the side. Look at what that newbie in chess is at now, he's top 0.5% in the entire world. Also, he's still spamming the same one opening.

just a question, since the ghazi raiders have a bonus against ranged units, and english villagers are ranged, will the bonus be applied ? or is the damage bonus only against military units ?

No. They do not get bonus damage.
wont apply, only the Byz horsemen with the upgrade will get bonus vs Vills
Even if the bonus vs ranged units doesn’t apply to villagers Ghazi Raiders would tear them up.
Im in Gold 3 first season playing ranked and got tower rushed just now and instantly thought of this vid, he broke my age 2 and tc and a lot more but i went all wood and gold hidden and make springalds and trebs to counter and break tower, lucky golden horn tower also make me longbows entire time as well. u save me ty :D

I truly think what it comes down too is making sure you know when the villagers leave and keeping watch what direction they are heading. Of course they are heading toward you base, but they could easily go around it out of sight and place the white tower even closer. On all Beasties he was correct, but if he didn't see them coming and they where able to plant the tower base and start construction where they wanted too he wouldn't have had all those wins and he even knows it. Hell he even was commenting on the last one looking for where those villagers where and he was doing that in the other games.
Yeah I got done bcoz I spotted them too late. If you can spot it early you can pick of the vills
I was playing French vs English and I kinda knew it was coming but I was still powerless to do anything about it, after I had invested in a few knights. How TF am I supposed to counter this as French? Just give up on my base?
Someone did this to me. I was playing with Abbasids. I`m still flabbergasted that I managed to win this game.

This strat has been around since before the king after they made the white tower double produce. I beat it in fkin diamond league with Abbassid Eco wing bruh! He was tryto treb down my landmarks instead of rams and he even made walls around it. I went 1 TC fast castle/made cheap farms and massed ghulams while raiding him with a small trickle of army to his main base ( he didnt pull so many vils caus I was Abbassid)
Would be funny to see beastly win by placing a few planks at the tower spot - just before the villagers do. Doesn’t English rush to age III very often? - that extra TC is really useful - most of the time better than the tower.
saw XQC counter someone on stream doing this, but they were a n00b in playing this strat

i am a casual player. playing JD and when l saw the video he made i was just like so if l harass him in feudal with the knights and keep producing units. he wont even be able to get that tower up.
Just like any cheese, people will learn to beat it the more they practice against it. Meanwhile this guy will drop back down where he belongs because all he can do is cheese.

Someone tried this dumb ish on me yesterday and I play Mongols. It definitely does not work on Mongols. I already had keshiks and planted my TC next to the Castle and killed all his workers lol. You can also just move away.

It isn't multitasking, I'm afraid of, its where is all my keys and such. If you can't multitask you should'nt play strategy games.

For accurate results I think Beasty should do the white tower rush on high level alt and see how other top level players react to it.
Now even tho he acts like he doesn't know it's coming, he does know, and that affects the outcome slightly.
You’ll know too if you scout 6 vils on Gold in feudal.

I haven't seen the whole video except for the first game yet. His white castle placement was terrible. Not taking away HRE gold income and all he was doing was making rams still after taking out TC??? Seeing you making knights all he had to do was make pikes, knights, or crossbows in support of his rams. And was he constantly making villagers at his base collecting gold and food, beside the wood at your base?
If the rest of the games he doesn't make any other unit but rams. Its a joke. He isn't adapting at all.

White Tower rush is like a worse version of cannon rushing from SC2. At least with a cannon rush if you can't kill the opponent, but you did some damage, you can transition out of it. With White Tower it's all or nothing baby.
