If you have a plan... You study, you practice, use technical analysis, fundamental analysis, understand chart patterns, candlestick patterns and have a good strategy and you know your edge in the markets then it is not gambling. Though they are similar it is not a gamble if you know what you're doing and it has been proven time and time again. Fortunately for someone like you we always need average people with average jobs! I mean i dont really see it as gambling considering Im not even what I would consider a very knowledgeable great trader and I still been in profit for 3 and half years straight on a terrible platform (Robinhood) (now learning how to make a trading bot on Charles shwab) but yeah I barely had to do anything to start becoming a profitable trader it’s not that hard

95% of traders lose cause they ride the rockets too long. You didn’t make any money unless you sell. I recently bought carnival shares at 11.32 sold and 11.94 and watched it go to 12.34/share after the sale. Gains are gains and you just gotta sell sometimes
When people reach out to me and I inquire about how they blew their trading account it's usually because of poor risk management. Whether that's not using a SL or too much leverage. It's extremely difficult to blow your account with a proper 1-3% risk and a proper SL. You would need to lose 80% of trades and slowly grind the account down.
Welp even though carnival rose like 50% since I made that trade, gains are gains lol 😬Bought into chase right after at least.

I always take my big L on my 3rd trade while trying to day trade without 25k. I always crush it on 1st and 2nd like this week went up 80% and I wasn't happy with that so went in another trade and wouldn't get out when the writing on the screen screamed GET OUT!! Hardest part is emotional part. And I've been trading since 2017 but have done it every chance exactly 1 year straight. I'm debating putting in the 25k to have the freedom to get rid of that emotion of running out of trades.
Trading has taught me a lot about divorce and who my real friends and family are😮

I'm into trading because I like the constant state of change. Its never repeatitive. I suppose I lose novelty kind of quickly so repetitive things really drive me insane. Also, It almost feels like playing a chess game, planning out your next move and strategizing. It gives me a sense of joy.
Exactly that's why I like it.

I'm into it because everybody can't do it. I'm into it for the freedom it brings. I'm into it because you can make a lot of money fast in a short amount of time. I don't recommend trading to anybody I let them choose.
3rd year trader and I’m just now finding my groove. I’m in and out one trade per day and I’m content but I see where I’m going. I have a roadmap in my head and I leave plenty of money on the table. But the losses I have racked up are insane. Slow and steady wins the race and i rather catch 10% to 20% daily than stress over multiple trades. I figure I can double my capital every 2 weeks and keep going that way

The 95% of traders who lose, should be aware of stop-loss hunting by the big money players.
5% of the daily liquidity is by retail traders. This doesn't mean they are a buyer or selling in the wrong place but normally sht risk management.. thoughts?

I trade because it allows me to save extra money for things I want to buy. I drive a nice car not because of my day job but because of my trading. I paid down all my credit card debt as well. Can or will I do it as my goto job,...probably not but I will always trade when there are things I like and don't want to wait 3 years to buy...like a nice watch...I also give 5 percent to a local charity. I can't afford more to give but that is ok its something and makes me feel good to do. Godbless you all.

It’s not that 95% lose, it’s that they quit. Just don’t quit, don’t be negative, don’t be impatient, don’t give up.
I've recently started and have been doing pretty well. Maybe a new perspective might change things for the better. I just talk to people about how they are changing spending habits dealing with stagflation. I then invest in companies related to what people would deem valuable under a tight budget. There's enough fluctuations that I can make small but consistent gains. Im not going for big risks just a fun little side hobby that makes money instead of spending it.

@@ishantkumar5423 No worries! Yes, I have received 8 payouts in total. The only thing wrong is finding the right Propfirm and making sure the broker they use is regulated. It's so many scams out here. So, make sure to do your research before giving someone your hard-earned money.

Work in Trading to both escape and not live in the rat race because I don't want to be poor.
I'm a long term investor only and it has been an awesome wealth builder! Personally never tried day trading or options but I don't have to watch the markets either. I simply buy and hold for yrs and I also earn dividends.

Have a strategy, be consistent, and read up on trading psychology (accept losses). Overly simplified, but that's the gist of it! Those three things you need to master in order to succeed.
I'm into trading bcoz i realised being a Trader is like a Spiritual Calling... Trading is not for anyone and I'm planning to be a Trader for the rest of my life.
I got into trading for many things, such as a lifestyle that i wanted, but mostly how challenging it is that my previous job was not doing for me.
So very true i lost a lot of money my first 4 years but now is becoming a booster of income whenever I travel.
This is very true. It does teach you a lot about the economy and capital and how it moves throughout.
Im in to it to prove im worth it. To prove im not in 95%. To prove im not a quitter. To prove i can do what i set my mind to. And most important. Not to prove to anyone. Don't care about opinions. Prove to myself.
Don't advise noone to start trading though. You most likely will loose and give up anyway.

I often find it baffling how people expect to master trading without prior experience. Like ANY other profession, you can’t just walk in and excel from day one. It takes dedication, study, practice, and accepting mistakes. Frankly, expecting profitability within six months or even a year is unrealistic. It’s essential to start small, protect your capital, and focus, self-control and discipline.
Anyone with a normal IQ can eventually learn the trade, but the winners will be the one who mastered self-control.
I agree , I'm profitable but I'm not making much more than I was in construction. However I have gained a vast knowledge of what's really going on with our financial system since I changed professions

But since I'm still developing and learning to execute it perfect and consistent, I would say I probably work the same if not a little more . However I'm not breaking my back , I'm breaking my mind which I'm ok with lol
“Much more” if you’ve managed to replace even 50% of that income you’re better off than most everyone getting into it. Just keep going. The sky if the limit.

I'm here not as a trader, but trying to be an investor. I made the mistake of not building a 401k/IRA early in life so I am trying to make up for a lot of lost ground. So I am not quitting. My quality of life at retirement age may depend on it.
Price only go up or down & don’t over risk. Don’t know why everybody think trading is quantum physics. Should technically be able to guess and profitable if you use good risk to reward.
No one actually succeeds long term with day trading.
There is a one off person who has a crazy lucky year or two, makes a wild return, and then day trades super smaller % of their wealth… those people will show you the good trades and not the bad

This kind of question never made sense to me. Are you doing it because you love doing it or are you doing it solely because you want to get rich. If you love trading or anything in life, and if you feel its worth your time then go for it. In most things in life, especially where competition is high, only a tiny fraction of people succeed. 95% of new businesses fail within 3 years, in competitive exams for jobs and college entrance there are inctances of 0.01% sucess rate. How many people do you think become professional sportsman out of all the people that practice, put in the time, yet never succeed. I would assume its way below 1%. So don't even look at the sucess rates. Probability does not work that way. You have 100% Probability of sucess, but only if you keep trying and focusing on not repeting mistakes.
i lost 6000 in two days its my biggest lost ever , but the think is... i started with my 1130 usd. its need constancy and involvement... give up on your comfort zone for a while. then u will taste the success.. try paper trading start with 500 usd or 1000, when u make that double, again start from 500 or 1000 its will teach you lots of things.

Well at first I was triggered by “quit after two years if it doesn’t work out”, but hey, everyone is trading their time for this new skill. So it’s only reasonable for them to speculate their success.
Most fail to me because they focus on day trading when they should be swing trading. Swing trading allows for better results but less gains. I think most want the home runs instead of taking the bunts.
Working corrections..4 16-hour days gets old. Also, my 4 year old daughter doesn't like my work schedule either.
I just want to try something different. I’m so tired of being poor. I know Trading is not a solution to my problem. But its really something that interest me. I’m a councilman. And i dont have money. I dont want to steal from the people so im trying everything i can.

In my opinion, I contribute to liquidity, which creates an efficient market. This helps investors trade at a fair value. I help to eliminate arbitrage of stocks and I help to stabilize price of goods, from jewelry to cereal.
Would I do it for free? Probably not, but I do enjoy it, so it would be hard to give up.
Simple reply: Well I pay 10 times the tax amount of an average person which mean I myself contribute for 10 people I think the government likes it. This is my contribution

@@nimaahmadi8547 90% of traders lose accounts by poor risk management. Riskmanagement is key then you can always review after 30-40x trades to create a better edge.
