How long does your mold last before it starts to crack or peel? I purchased a 20mm mold that is identical from a seller in Singapore, it was alot of money compared to handmade molds here in America and had to wait almost 2 months to get it... I only got 2 uses before my ball peeled some of the silicone and the edges of the mold was already starting to crack. Seller would not stand behind product and claimed it was normal and so I was out of alot of money and time...very sad. I am aware of how to properly care for my molds and also make some of my molds as I have been working with uv resin for 2 years... I have handmade molds that are still usable after a year so I was confused it went bad so quickly. I am now experimenting with creating my own 2 part mold of similar design as I could have made 4 of these for what I paid for the one mold... I believe it was made with cheaper silicone or not mixed thoroughly. Your thoughts are appreciated, thank you for your great channel and beautiful work.
The mold can be used about 15 times. I'm giving up because it's a consumable item that deteriorates, but I think the amount is high. Some last longer, but cost three times as much I wish I could make it myself, but it's not easy. i have the same problem as you I look forward to working with you. thank you for the message.
@@GalaxySpaceIORI also thank you for your reply... I was very disappointed to say the least. My process for making my balls are very similar to yours because I have learned from your beautiful work. My workflow is as follows... I start out as normal in a half sphere mold and build up all layers as normal that you normally would in a two-part mold, once that is done I simply put into a full sphere mold similar to the one that you have used in your other videos for your Aurora balls... I simply add resin until it is full and cure it one final. At that point all I have to do is sand down the top cap from the pouring hole, drill a hole and add findings and dip to coat one last time... I find this method works well because I have been using the same molds for months with no problems and it essentially creates the same type of ball that I can make in a two-part mold while also using less wasted resin. Perhaps you could try this technique and see what you think. I see that you have a video tutorial on how to make Space balls in a full sphere mold, it would be the same except building the lower half in a half sphere mold so that it is easier to work with When painting the colors and making whirlpools.

IORIさんの作品に憧れて、やってみましたがレジンを足して硬化を繰り返してやるとレジン層が出来てしまいますが、どのようにすれば
レジン層は無くせますか？
以前、2液レジンで分けて分て硬化した際層ができました。
今は出来ないので改善策が分かりませんが、もしかしたら使用しているレジン液に問題があるのかも？私はレジン道さんのレジン液を使用していますが、問題は起きません。もし違うものを使用しているのであれば一度レジン液を変えてみるのも策かなと思います。
