Check the quality: all genuine Eastpak products are made to the highest standards. If either the materials or workmanship look faulty, chances are you’re looking at a fake.
• Only buy from reputable retailers such as an official Eastpak store, authorized Eastpak stockist or from the official eastpak.com webstore.
• Look for the official highly secured holographic label. (Although even this can be copied, it should not be that easy to remove this label from a genuine Eastpak product.)

Well, it only took about a week and a half after the Raf Simons x Eastpak collaboration launched for the fakes to start appearing. This one surprised me, though I guess I should have expected it. The collaboration looks pretty cool, a line of futuristic, over-sized backpacks/rucksacks

Have you considered the possibility of the "fake" backpack being just old? I have a vintage one and it didn't come with the holographic tag or some of the other features you showed...
It is mentioned by us in the comments section that the holograms weren't deployed before 2011. The other elements stand though

Usin the adjetive “Replica” sugarcoat what it really is, a falsification, a counterfeited product. Replica should be used only when the original model or make is no loonger in business…. just a thought
anybody know what colour the fake one is. its looks pink/purple

I have an aestpak and I always doubted it to be fake but the label where it says aestpak has underneath written u.s.a
All the check elements are numbered in the video. Did you check the others (tags, zippers, hologram etc.) ?

Does a logo being centered ultimately means a bag is fake?
No not at all. Logo positioning tells us nothing. Zippers, stitching. inside labels. tags holograms are the important distinguishing factors.
Looks like I have a fake Eastpak Hutson bag..there is no 'YKK' engraving on the underside of the zip.
What about the care tag? Does it have the hologram?

@@conanabang1515 Then most probably it's original. The hologram is a stronger authenticity element than the zipper engravings (they don't have to be YKK for all manufactured models everywhere)

my bag doesnt have the holographic label and has a white strip but it also has the correct zippers, says usa on the label and has the right buckles. is it a fake??
The holographic label is the strongest authenticity sign unfortunately. The presence and the holographic plates details are also given in their official webpage
These holograms weren't deployed before 2011. So if your backpack is older than that, then there's a chance of it being genuine

I disagree. Eastpak is not a rubbish bag. And it's quite popular and useful too.
