    I’ve been using Amsoil products in all my vehicles, motorcycles, pressure washer, lawn equipment, etc. for over 30 years and it has ALWAYS served me well!

      Same here, I’ve been using Amsoil for years as seen in my past oil change videos but I’m not brand loyal to motor oil, I just have preferences!

      @@robertcraft-pj2jp Hello Robert, I believe we have the same bikes. I bought my red 2023 GL1800 Tour DCT in July and did my first oil change and both filters in October at 800 miles. I double checked to make sure Honda had no issues with Amsoil and that is what the bike is now running on. It’s probably my imagination, but I think the bike prefers it, especially the DCT for smoother gear changes.

    Once a year whether it needs it or not. I usually do not run 8000/year. Honda GN4 has always done me okay.

    I have a 2022 Honda Goldwing tour DCT at 8000 miles I switched to GN4 FULL synthetic the red bottle.I now have 12,400. I put the bike away Dec. second week an I’m done until April

    I was always a GN4 10-30 users on my 2020 DCT. Changing it every 5K. Going to try the Honda 10-30 S first time. Might go a bit longer on the change. Thank you for this video.

    I picked up a 2023 DCT Tour last fall. On my bike Honda recommends 10W40 every 4000 miles. So I turn wrenches for a living. The best explanation of synthetic oil was I was in Land Rover school . It is made from conventional oil (You hit on this) Its just that the molecules are all the same size. It's not the oil that brakes down its to additive package that do. So for me I change my oil on my cars every 5000 miles. On my Goldwing will probably be every 4000miles

    I used Mobile 0-40 in AK , I would change the filter in the winter , the oil would clean up. I am now in Thailand .

    Chris, I talked with about a year ago when I was working and couldn't talk at the time. I have the 2008 and I went to the DARKSIDE after having it for a little while and I (AIN'T GOING BACK). Honda should have put a voltage gage, tire pressure readout, adjustable windscreen, cup holder, and a key fob, for the older generation. Chris like you said they should have updated the older bike.

    I'm not a big Amsoil fan and never used it myself, but when Phil Steiner uses it and got 770k on his Wing, it sure gets me thinking about using it.

      The only full synthetic oil that has been in my Goldwings over the past decade that I’ve endorsed is Amsoil but If Phil Steiner has convinced you, why haven’t you switched yet?

      @@chriscaliente5033 I just have a hard time switching from what Honda recommends because of the DCT. Phil rides a manual.

    Synthetic oil have the same size molecules that’s why lubrication is much better, conventional oil have different sizes of molecules and also have parafins and impurities that come from the petroleum that’s why sludge forms much faster than synthetic if you want to know more ask me I’ll be glad to answer your questions

    • @chriscaliente5033
      @chriscaliente5033  9 месяцев назад

      Everyone knows that Synthetic oil is Premium over conventional oil, the point of this video is that you toggle from synthetic to conventional oil that meets Honda oil requirements without damaging the engine.

      If you’ve changed oil types and have noticed a difference in the way the transmission shifts, or if the DCT transmission is acting erratic Initialize the Clutch.
