I totally get Lily's behaviour.She thought about his son's struggle and that wasn't there to support him when he first came out.I like the way she reacted but I knew Brad was not trying to insult anybody.He didn't sound like a gay offender I know one when I hear them.Thank you.Love this scene.
Yeah, I remember seeing this episode and thinking that he wasn't being a bigot or hurtful, he just doesnt really have a filter between his head and mouth, and Lily was just getting used to it and dealing with her own negative feelings.
LOL. I don't think Brad meant it in a offensive way because before he left he asked if lily had something against gay decorators. But I understand Lily's reaction. Luke being gay is still knew to her and she is worried and overprotective.
I am not a gay man so I can't speak from the "heart" but as someone that loves my gay friends Brad didn't sound homophobic at all and he even added :Do you have something against gay decorators?
I like the way Luke is straight forward and knows that he has to deal with people like Brad, who I don't think is a bigot, but ignorant. There is a difference. A bigot would beat luke up, someone who's ignorant would say those stereotypical comments.
That was so cool that Lilly wanted to protect her son. This things exactly happens every day and it has to stop!! I mean because many people say things like "thats so gay" people like me are making suicide!!!!
