Interesting… I randomly had a hunch that certain kinds of squats done regularly could help with this but had no idea why I thought that 😂 logically, I would think, extra pressure from weights would not help, if the knee joint is already under too much pressure… what kind of squats did you do? And did you use free weights or a bar?

Great content! But I have a couple questions. - the Seated figure four hamstring stretch with foot grasp seems like it would add pressure / compression to the knee joint? ~ if one knee is more painful or injured should you do both sides, hold the challenged side longer or what would you recommend? ~ isn’t it a good idea to perform these techniques after at least some amount of warming up first? But thank you for sharing.
OH MY GOODNESS!!! I've struggled with knee pain and popping while doing squats and lunges for such a long time, and just following this one time made it so much easier!!! I'm going to stretch as frequently as I can now. That first one was so tough for me though, my ankle can't bend so far yet, so I had to modify it a bit, but I'm sure sticking to it will help out quite a bit. Thank you so much!!!
*I tore my ACL last year around early March so almost one year since it happened. Decided not to get surgery and go the natural route doing things to get it back to normal. Thanks for the informative video. I felt this crunching sound in both my knees suddenly(today). I suspect the reverse lunges that I did with overhead kettlebell weights could have triggered this. Because I felt discomfort when standing up from the lunge position. Probably I rushed into progressive loading. From that point I hear the crunching sound when walking up the stairs, when doing lunges, whenever I drive my knees over my ankle. Fortunately I don’t feel troubling pain yet. However a dull discomfort is there which draws my attention from time to time. Could this condition be reversed with right exercises? Could this lead to osteoarthritis?
@@ticketforlife2103 thanks. Very true. Did some isometrics and plyometric exercises, now sound is very less. And not much discomfort. Hopefully the sound will be completely gone.
Anyone have any advice for reducing the noise of crunchy knees? Mine don’t hurt… but as a massage student, the crunchy…clicking noise gets more annoying than anything - and I can’t imagine anyone enjoys hearing it while being massaged…😅
One of the best ways to reduce this crunchy sound (knee crepitus) is to strengthen the quadricep muscles. There are plenty of videos online that show how to do these exercises with or without weights. Squats, walking, biking and swimming are also very helpful. Hope that helps.
