Great video, shame about the weather on the way down. Thanks for taking your time with the goats, with all wildlife,I always think that I am am their ground and thank them for sharing it with me. Many thanks for sharing. ATB
Amazing, Scotland is at it's very best at this time of year. Thank you for sharing your journey....shame about the weather at the summit though....but you did well at other times. That's Scotland for you!
Hi Julian, yeah the colours of Scotland at this time of year are lovely. The weathers been bonkers, wetter than I’ve ever remembered it. Still really enjoyable though. Take care, L&D 😊🙏
Lovely video and a fantastic mountain. Enjoyed sipping champagne on the summit on a friends compleation a few years ago. I’ve often though about taking a hot water bottle on wild camps but never have. Resorted to multiple hand warmers tucked inside my base layers a few times. Needs must! Thanks for sharing. Linda 😊
Another excellent video - it’s a great wee hill. I do admire all the back and forth you must do to bring us these videos. MRTs use those body warms to heat up casualties- definitely worth taking along in the colder months 👍
Hi Graham, Thank you for watching. The body warmers are fantastic in my opinion and have definitely helped both of us out from time to time. Well worth carrying one or two at this time of year. 😀🙏❄️
A cracker Dave. 👍😎 Good. Memories of me and Robin's camp up there. Pity aboot the clag & wind next day, but least you had a good day before. That walk in is soooo loooong.
Hey Kev, thanks mate. Despite the conditions I really enjoyed it to be honest. It’s a hill the needs to be done again on a good day. Long walk in as you rightly said though. 😁👣
Great video once again. Slioch is a special mountain. I climbed it back in 1989 at New Year and have photographed it many times from the roadside beside Loch Maree. It never disappoints, and I have an original painting of it in my house. As for the goats - they are prolific in that area right across to the Fisherfield. I’ve come across them on Sail Mhor summit, looking down on Loch Broom and on Beinn Àirigh Charr. Thanks for sharing.
Great video David.Slioch is an awesome mountain with exceptional views in all directions.Thankfully u were well prepared for feeling cold.Doesn't take long for my hands to get cold when i stop and it takes a wee while warming them back up.😃👍
Hey Andy, Yeah I’m normally okay with the cold but was feeling it that day. Probably because it’s been ripping down for weeks nonstop lol 😊☔️ Thank you for watching and messaging as always. 😊🙏
Amazing views on the way up of Loch Maree. Was almost shivering with you, sounded like you were maybe coming down with a cold. Excellent footage as usual - cheers.
Great video, really enjoyed that. I have one Munro left to bag and it’s Slioch. Plan to do it with a few chums and summit camp next spring. Hopefully be a wee bit warmer 😉 cheers
Hiya Lee, That will be a superb one to finish on. The area I camped in will take plenty tents. Keep it for a dry period though as most of it was wet, think I had the only semi dry pitch. If I was completing, I’d choose that one! Maybe ping us when it’s your time. I would like to go back with MrsO. 😊🙏
Hi. Just found your Channel. Great views 😢. Slioch is a mountain I want to camp on too. I may wait until after winter for this one since it’s so far from Edinburgh 👍🏻
Probably best as it’s a long walk in that could be challenging in the wrong kinda snow conditions.. the route is also mega wet! Well worth the effort in good conditions though. Thanks for watching. 😊🫡🌻
Fair play to you David choosing to go out in those conditions. Glad you got a bit of heat back inside you. Was it just putting the tent up and cooling down , did you have your gloves off to get the tent up ? I was lucky i got that done on a blue sky winter day in April. Long walk in if iremember?
Hi Stevie, I think I was just a little off, was feeling it most of the day but did hit harder when I was setting up. All good though, I suppose that’s why we carry the wee extras to help in those kinda situations. Yeah it’s a long ish walk in and out but very scenic and enjoyable. 😊⛺️🤘❄️
A grand mountain but, as you found, a bit of a toughie. I had better weather than you and completed the horseshoe linking the summit tops together. It was a long time ago - 10+ years. I should do it again, maybe in Winter! 😱Good effort Dave. 👏👏
Hi Kev, It’s definitely one that shouldn’t be underestimated, particularly in those conditions! Most definitely be taking MrsO to here.. was a little gutted she wasn’t with me as she’d love it! One to be revisited in good conditions. 😊🤘
What a wonderful place. Enjoyed watching this beautiful landscabe. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day
Hey, thank you very much for your message and for watching. Take care. 😊🙏

Hey John, that’s exactly what MrsO would have said! It was nice to see them…I’m sure they were setting to rob me though! 😊🙏😂
Beautiful scenery! Not much can beat the Highlands in autumn...!
Hi JF.. agreed! 😊🤘

Hey Linda, Probably one of the best places to drink champagne on a good day. Thank you so much for your message. 😊🙏

Looked pretty chilly under clear skies, and as usual some rain spoils it.
Scenery is great around there .
Thanks for sharing
Yes it is.. we’ll definitely be going back. MrsO will really like that one. 😊🙏
Nice one dave. Cracking viewpoint and you got a bit of it at least. Gordon
Morning Gordon.. it’s one we’ll need to go back to. MrsO will enjoy this. 😊🙏🫡

Great video I will have to go back to climb it again as I did it really bad weather many years ago thanks
Hi Andrew, We’ll also be doing it again. Would like to camp or bivvy in good conditions. Thanks for watching. 😊🙏

Hiya Graham.. thank you buddy! 😊🙏 Yeah we seen the goats all over that area.. can smell them before you see them. 😀🤘

Morning Michael, thankfully I never came down with a cold. Don’t think I had had enough to eat that day. Thank you for watching once again! 😊🤘
