- In tonight's video, I have brought back one of my favorite humans to experiment with some new techniques and tools (our other video can be found here: • ASMR | Head massage an... ). This was a spur of the moment session and I am happy that Elizabeth was free to come over. She is such an easy person to be around and everything felt very natural and relaxed. I use some gua sha tools in our session as well as some natural sprays and oils. Gua sha is a skin scraping technique used in traditional East Asian medicine that can also be performed with a spoon or other smooth object. Typically it leaves marks (petechiae) but tonight I will just be using the tools to aid in massage. I am using light to medium pressure to avoid abrasions. I will demonstrate and discuss other gua sha techniques in the very near future on my channel.

I particularly love how you talk about the positive attributes of your guests at the beginning of each session. We live in such a self-critical, self-deprecating moment in time...it’s wonderful to hear you point out things you admire about them, plus the tea and vitamin C and snacks at the end!! I was telling my uber driver once that it would be a genius idea to open an asmr spa/salon where it is whisper quiet, the rooms would be lit like this and you can get a massage or haircut with added noises to induce tingles or relaxation. Everyone in the car laughed and thought I was weird but I would pay big bucks to go to something like that 😴
We have massage places like that in LA! They call it a "foot massage" but it's the whole body, just with clothes on in a huge room that's dark with stars on the ceiling, massage chair recliners, and soft music.
It is crazy and everyone laughs until it's done and they see you succeed. I think it's a smart idea :)

Being Chinese, my mom would do gua sha to my entire family when we had headaches or were ill. It straight up looked like we were beat but ugh, it felt amazing. Yielded great results and really felt incredible!

Loulou La Petite Renarde Nah this is a fine question haha, it freaked me out as a kid too. It can cause bruising due to capillaries bursting when being given the treatment! That’s a part of the therapy though and, to my knowledge, has no lasting negative side effects. It might be kind of uncomfortable during and your neck/back look like hell afterward but it doesn’t hurt whatsoever and the bruising goes away within a couple days!

It's really hard to get back to how I was before, but you've helped me a lot. Don't know if I've said this before but I appreciate how much thought you put into the atmosphere in your videos! Like, the simple but pretty background and the soft lighting. The lighting in most ASMR videos is so off-putting because for some reason a lot of ASMRists like to use really bright artificial lights and it just feels so sterile and cold. You're one of the few people who seems to know the power of warm and subtle light.

I have been watching your videos every night for the last week when I go to sleep and they have been helping me immensely. Some nights I fall asleep with RUclips running (unintentionally). I suffer with insomnia, restless legs syndrome, multiple sclerosis, POS, the list goes on. It’s mainly all the medications that throw my sleep schedule off kilter. I think you missed your calling. I said this 3 years ago. Many massage videos but this is gentle not rushed and patron feels very relaxed you could have invented your own line of oils etc and even write books. The world so negative and restless and sad. This video so far has been my favorite-I like the nighttime vibes and set up (I watch your videos for sleep on an almost daily basis), so the low light and candles really makes it easy for me to relax. I also really really love this one because you incorporated the Gua Sha...I had never heard of this before and I was excited to learn something new and it was also really calming to watch. Thank you for creating these. Each one has helped me recently. There’s a lovely sound in each almost like a real fire spitting, which I assumed it was but then it’s not cold there like here in England. I then assumed it was the wooden chair creaking but then heard it when you was in France. It’s just intermittently but I find it really relaxing.
